Still working after 3 months/ tips to take into consideration.
After 3 months still going strong with daily use. I purchased for my ebike to add 12 accessories at first I was leary and wasn't going to purchase after reading some reviews but I decided to cause I got to thinking, like most other electronics someone bought it and installed it wrong or overloaded it fried it an blamed the product, so bought and did a bench test with a voltmeter before installing and everything is still working great. It gets warm but not to hot to touch but its also exposed to a lot of moving air and and on average im only pulling have the amps then what its rated for.Tips when purchasing a buck converter:1- Buy a higher rated one then you need for 2 reasons. If all your 12v devices pull 20 amp when they are powered on get a 25-30 amp rated not a 20. First is in case you have a power surge and second it won't run as hot cause it won't be under full load.2- Make sure its wired properly, some people look at it and go "2 black negative wires and connect the 48v and 12v negative together and connect it to 48v negative power supply. Then have all the 12v devices negative tie into 48v negative. That not recommend even though it may work temporarily or fry something instantly depend on how everything else is wired but will eventually fail and can cause serious damage......especially if 48v- backfeeds to 12v- and fries buck converter and shorts 12v and/or 48v system. If not overloaded and well ventilated and wired properly it should last a while.

Red goes to battery / source and yellow is 12v out
The 3” x 3” card that comes in the box shows the correct connections. The online document mixes up input / output terminology and power supply and load terminology..Expect a good spark when you connect the red and black wires to the battery source power even with no load connected to the 12V output yellow and black wires.Works fine and seems to have little or no idle current draw on the battery source.

Works great.
Works great. I have installed quite a few. No issues at all.

Works good; big spark
There is a big spark when connecting to input voltage. Even big enough to scar the battery terminal. Apparently it’s the capacitor charging. But everything was fine afterward.Suggested improvements for manufacturer:1. Make the wires longer2. Add a sticky pad for mounting

Updated review: The wiring instructions that come in the box are WRONG!!
Updated rating... I increased this from one star to four stars based on the response from the vendor. I received an acknowledgement that their instructions were incorrect and they gave me a full refund. I appreciate their responsiveness and quick resolution of the issue. Hopefully they have also corrected the instructions included in the box.Original review:The box included instructions for wiring it, but the photo that they use has the input and output boxes labeled in reverse. The text is correct, but the picture is wrong. Unfortunately I followed the picture and didn't notice the text. Burned out the converter and it applied the full 48V to the 12V output which then burned out all the lights on my cart. Not happy!!!I've attached the photo to show the problem.Vendor.... you should replace this free of charge! I'm sure I'm not the only one that was mislead by your faulty instructions.

Works great but read the specifications
This well-made unit works well. But read all the specifications. Notably, it’s stated “Do not connect to solar panels, PWM/MPPT charge controllers, inverters or wind turbines. In my case, the potential for 29 volts from a 24-volt solar inverter breaks the unit. If this is your need, look elsewhere. There are other converters that specify a greater voltage range up to 50 volts DC, suitable for connection to a MPPT 24 volt solar inverter.

Does not work
Not good we tested it it added a voltage instead of bringing it down to 12 volts. It made it 39 volts it blew all our lights 😡

Legit
It’s cool it has a diagram on the back
