good function, however.......
I ordered the GE.It's easy to hook up with my home system. Sound quality holds up well (run the GE flat, and and a just accordingly.Based on your room size. functionality is on point. The quality is sound. The brightness does that job, I rrun my highs peaked AR 17k. It's a good price for value. try the test of timr. I did get the wrong instruction book. but ease of use cancelled that. out. Best of luck to ya, I don't think youwill be disappointed ........ Donnie P

Great budget EQ option for single ended use
I bought this for a secondary hi-fi system using the Nobsound 6P1 Class A tube amp with my Klipsch RP-280F speakers (and a Sanskrit 10th MKII DAC upstream). I have a miniDSP DDRC-24 in my main system and so I have experience with EQ/DSP/DIRAC Live room correction, but not quite willing to spend that much on my secondary system. This fit the bill for a budget EQ option and appealed to me over other options given that it had RCA In/Out without the need for conversion cables. My 6P1 is heavily modded with upgraded caps and premium 6SN7 tubes and so it sounds very crisp at max volume, and any significant increase in distortion should have revealed itself in this setup, but I did not hear any increased distortion.I used REW with UMIK-1 (that comes with my miniDSP) to first EQ Left and Right channels independently to get a gradual linear sloping roll off (similar to the default DIRAC target curve) and then performed minor tweaks to the EQ by measuring L+R together to produce a nice balance sound. I just barely ran out of EQ headroom in the left 150Hz but the outcome was good enough. If you are willing to plunk down more money then the miniDSP HD 2x4 or twice as expensive DDRC-24 (w/DIRAC) are probably better options since you can backup/restore the EQ settings and save 4 profiles, something you can't do in this unit. The VU meter on it is simply a fancy independent mono sound meter and does not appear to be in the signal path at all. As one other reviewer pointed out, you can clap your hands and both sides of the UV meter will respond. This is good - the fewer components there are in the signal path the better it is for hi-fi use.

CHEAPLY MADE: Would not work without hum for even outdoor speakers.. STAY AWAY
So I just wanted to get a bit of adjustment for my outdoor speakers and I decided not to spend a lot on that... I found out here what happens when you do not choose well..Problems:1) front display does not show output EVER, it only works from a mic inside. So it can never be used to set output levels.. just flashy lights..2) the levers stick and are hard to move.. ( I broke one off)3) If you send a loud signal through the unit it will beep in the speakers when it gets close to max out... This is just bad at party when you skip to a loud song with beeps...4) even when nothing was input it gave a his over everything...5) output ports are weak and easily moved causing a bad connection..In the end I just threw it in the trash...

Hearing fine.
I have hearing problems and needed an EQ to connect to my computer to better understand the voice coming out of it. There are people that have to have the bass on their turned way up for some odd reason.. I can't hear the bass with out a lot of pain in my ears so the EQ does what it needs to do and get rid of the bass. Thank you. I can enjoy sound again.

Great for the money!
I bought this to pair with a Monkey amplifier in a project to restore a 40-year-old pair of speakers. The two play well together with no extraneous sounds. This is a great buy for the money: 15 frequencies to tailor the sound rather than 6 or 7. I could wish for HDMI input/outputs and a remote control, but it does the job nicely for what it is.
