Works well
I don’t have another pair of crimpers to compare these to but I did use this to repair a couple broken torch hose’s and it made for some solid crimps with no signs of potential issue. Both on the 1/4” side and the 3/16”.

They release lever is ass backwards.
If you are use to the standard vise grip this is very awkward.

Hose crimper
Needs to be a little more rounded so it would crimp more evenly on the fitting. It tries to flatten two sides of the crimp a little more than I like, but still works.

Does the Job it is intended for
These worked very well for our propane tank hose that had came a little loose. We had looked at about 10 (no exaggeration there) different in store places for a set of these and failed to find them in store anywhere. So I hopped on amazon to look and found these. They are very easy to use and do the job well. If someone asked me about a pair of hose crimpers I would gladly offer up these as a selection.

These air hose ferrule crimps work great on Stainless water hose ferrules that have failed
used to retighten crimps on Stainless Steel water hose. worked great. The stainless steel hoses use the larger crimp hole I have four of the 50 foot Stainless steel hoses and three of them had the nozzle end crimp fail. Soaped up the end of the hose liner, placed the barbed fitting of the male hose end into the hose. Held the failed ferrule firm with a regular vise grip supported by a 2x2 next to the vise grip, then took a 1 pound hammer and hit the male fitting flush on the end. Two or three taps drove the barb back into the hose. Used these ferrule crimps to re-crimp the ferrule to the male hose adapter. Remember you have to crimp all the way around the fitting.
