This is a real accounting of this product, no BS. I have some shirts that had been tainted by my foul stench when I sweat from being nervous. My normal sweat doesn't smell at all, but when I have something troubling me...i stink. Yep I'm gross, and thereafter on those days my shirts stink, just the underarm area to be clear. The smell still exists after being laundered or more specifically they smell clean until I put them on and within five minutes I can smell them again and it gets worse throughout the day. I hate it. I have tried all the tide's for active people and some other detergents that are supposed to eliminate this exact odor, most have made little or no difference and I was just getting ready to toss all the stinky shirts and start over. No big deal, who doesn't like new clothes??!! But before I dumped my whole workout wardrobe I decided there must something, that someone makes that can eliminate this lingering substance in my clothes. So I starting reading more reviews and found this product (Active Wear Detergent) So I ordered it.I read multiple reviews with mostly good results and one person had suggested putting 4 scoops in with a load of wash and that had worked really well. I decided to take it a step further. I got a 10 gallon bucket, poured 4 scoops in with hot water grabbed all my stinky clothes from my closet and let them soak for 3 days hoping the enzymes would do their job. After 3 days I poured the water and clothes in my front load washer and put it on the longest cycle I could. After the washer and dryer had done their job I was amazed that 97% of the smell was out ALL of my shirts. I had been fooled before only to be let down after I put the shirt back on and my skin apparently reignited the putrid smells hibernating within. Shockingly after wearing what had been my smelliest shirt for an entire day it was fine. I went on to wear more of those shirts over the next week or two with the same results. I am truly surprised that the chemistry cooked up by Active Wear actually worked. In fairness, I soaked these clothes in this solution for 3 days before laundering and I doubt that had I just put these shirts in the washer with a scoop or two that it would have had the same effect, but who cares. I can soak 20 shirts in a bucket once a year if I need to, it's really not that hard.If you have workout clothes that just never feel fresh, try this product with the soaking method and you will likely be pleasantly surprised as I was. I was about to throw out about 5 of my husband's work shirts because I could NOT get out the terrible smell of them. I refuse to use strong perfumes in detergents and spend a bit more on a more natural detergent, hang clothes on the line and use baking soda and vinegar on things that are particularly stinky. Nothing worked. I found out about this product online and thought I'd give it a try. I followed the directions of how much to put in, soaked his shirts for a few hours in this detergent enzyme, hung the clothes on the line and VOILA! They have been redeemed. Thank you! This stuff works!

Coming back for my second bag. We’ve had our first bag for almost 6 months. I use this all the time because I have 3 kids, a dog and a husband. Need I say more? We had a perpetual mildew smell in our Towels that I tried everything to rid (bleach, tide pods, hottest water and high heat dry). Never failed as soon as I dried myself with again after bathing I could smell the faint mildew smell emerge. Ugh. Well, not anymore! I attribute it to a single scoop of this in my wash loads. I still use my regular tide pod detergent but I sprinkle one small scoop of this into the load with hot water and I’m so impressed! Enzymes. Salt. Whatever this stuff is, it’s really working. And it lasts forever! I’ve only used it as supplement but I’m using a single scoop with nearly every load and it’s lasted like 6 months.

I have used this product for a very long time now. It helps with sports smells, laundry you left in wash and forgot to put in the dryer smell, it makes things fresh without the smelly stuff that is used to cover up the bad smell. Im allergic to smells and this product helps me get things clean with out the scents.

Highly recommended! I soaked all my cycling bibs in a five gallon bucket with four scoops of powder and warm water. After an hour, I chucked the whole mess into my washer and ran a load on warm. My bibs came out smelling like new, even the padded bits which are often extremely funky even after a wash.

I will buy this stuff time and time again. I workout a lot throughout the week but don’t wash my clothes everyday. My clothes reek and this is the only thing I feel helps get that nasty smell out of my gym clothes. I’ve been using this for a few years now

My husband has really oily skin, and the sheets on his side of the bed wouldn't get that clean with regular detergent. I tried this product and was amazed that the oil was removed from the sheets. Definitely will buy again.
