The markings are precise, having been tested with rulers tapes.esthetically, it is beautiful and feels very solid hand. I wish they offered a larger 24" or even 36" version, but this will suffice for 3D projects.

I do a lot of embroidery and that is generally in millimeters. But often in the US, measurements even for embroidery are in inches. I find myself often having to do conversions. This makes it so much easier because I always have it handy in my sewing room, so I don't have to find my phone to calculate the proper measurements for what I'm doing.

Love this ruler combined with a similar style tape measure. Removes all guess work of what the non standard measurement is! Down to 1/16th! I do wish the end (18 inches) was in line with the end of the metal. It’s not. Minor thing but still.

I bought the 18 inch and the 12 inch ruler. I liked the way they did the increments so I didn’t have to use too much brain power. That being said - they are stainless steel ( that makes them heavy IMO) so moving on - the 18 inch is nice everything nice and straight. Other words they glued the measuring face on straight. The 12 inch one though - not so good. The measuring face was glued on crooked meaning I can’t trust the device now. Poor quality control!!!!!!!! It really disturbs me when you believe you’re getting a quality product and you get that. Oh - and I had to wait a couple of weeks to get the 12 incher. Can’t recommend them.

The 18-inch long one is my preference because it is large enough to measure packages sizes yet small enough to fit in the desk drawer or behind the keyboard on the desktop. Thin cork layer on back prevents it from slipping so it won't move until you wish it to when using it to measure or draw lines on something made of paper of fabric. The cork layer is thin enough that the ruler edge almost touches the surface when using it as a straight-edge to draw a line in pencil. Made of steel, it has lasted for three and a half years without any wear.

This ruler is well laid out in thought and design. However ONE BIG downfall in manufacturing is the starting reference on the ruler. The edge IS NOT quite @ 0 [zero] !! or at least the one I got from the Amazon vendor. Reason why it gets a 4 for accuracy. Some out there would considered this as a major headache. I can touch up this blemish easily and will keep the ruler. Also, it does have core on the backside of ruler too.

First off, it took weeks to arrive. Then, tracking showed it was delivered but it wasn’t. It finally showed up five days later, supposedly placed in my package box, which it wasn’t.But even after all that, the product itself is a disappointment. It’s literally just a sticker slapped onto a piece of metal and not even an accurate one. Don’t rely on it for measurements unless you plan to use only this device, because it’s completely off. It’s not straight, not square, and definitely not reliable. Total waste.
