Take your time and do it right.
Makes sewing scissors very sharp so you can just slide it through your material. Just make sure to get angle right before you start and it doesn’t take long to make edge perfect.

How well it works depends a lot on your scissors.
We could talk about price, $80+ is pretty expensive, but anyone with a Wicked Edge is not primary motivated by cost.It works pretty well, but it has two major shortcomings. I usually start with 1000 grit, go to 1500, and then a 6 micron tape, which is what WE recommends in their video, it does a good job. If you have scissors that fit the clamp well, that's really where you start to run into problems.First is that the adapter does not clamp super solid into the normal sharpening jaws, there's definitely flex if you play with how far you insert the tabs into the clamp you can eliminate most of it. I think longer tabs that you clamp to might improve that. If you try to slide it too far down into the jaws it's less stable because the cut outs from the tabs round off as they go further up the scissor unit.Second at least mine, the cut out for clamping the scissor blade is too "tall" and I've had several sets of scissors I've tried to sharpen, especially smaller scissors, that even with the clamp fully closed would not clamp enough to hold the scissor blade. This seems like a major oversight, there's no need for a tall notch. Also it would be better to me if the notch was pushed back further, for some scissors if you want the blade ~90 degrees to the sharpening stone path (for consistent angle) you have to rotate the blade in the clamp notch which means since it's so shallow front to back you end up only clamping a small part of the blade which holds less securely.

Worthwhile investment
Excellent scissor attachment for the excellent Wicked Edge knife sharpener.

Super results
I purchased a Wicked Edge scissor attachment directly from Wicked Edge. It arrived today, and I sharpened four sets of scissors using their guideline of using a black marker (Sharpie) to blacken the edges and then adjusting the slides until a fine stone removed the marking uniformly. As I sharpened the several pairs of titanium scissors, I also took the time to measure the final angle for each edge. I was amazed at how much the angle varied within the same brand of scissors (>4° from >19° to ~15°) and from blade to blade in the same scissor! Don't assume that all blade angles are the same. One needs to find the proper blade angle for each and every blade using the black marker technique.Once I had the blade angle set, I started with a 400 grit stone for the most part, except for one pair which was in rougher shape and there I started with a 100 grit stone. I used downward strokes with even pressure as I soon found that, if one goes up and down, you end up shaving an undue amount of your sharpening stone grit on each upward stroke. It does not take a lot of strokes (usually <~50) until you see a bright uniform edge with the coarser grits and feel a small burr. Then it takes fewer strokes (~25-30) to successively refine and polish out the scratches. After progressing through 600, 800, 1000, and coarse ceramic stones, I ended up with the fine ceramic stone which left a mirror finish on each blade. The burr is removed at the end by simply opening and closing the scissors a few times.Since the scissors are clamped with one blade pointed at approximately right angles to the blade being sharpened, one must exercise caution in using the stones near that blade. It is easy to inadvertently brush against a very sharp blade. Although I did not injure myself, I recommend at least wearing a pair of elastomer/latex gloves to afford some protection, and because I found more grit and metal dust than usual in sharpening scissors as compared to knives. The extra dust on a first sharpening may be due in part to the fact that most scissor blades are hollow ground, and the first sharpening flatters that slight curvature out.Wow! Are these older scissors sharp! They cut like a dream now -- even a pair of venerable kitchen shears, which now has very sharp blades and effectively a new life. If you have a Wicked Edge sharpener system, I recommend adding the scissor accessory.

Don't expect to be able to do high-end scissors
It will assist you to sharpen scissors. It is very limited. You may or may not be able to use this on the scissors you own. it is very inaccurate, it flops back and forth in the vise Jaws. So your angle will vary. Overall not satisfied.
