There is nothing to dislike about these. Great glass at a reasonable price

Clear optics as expected from Steiner. Compact size and lightweight. 10-power, but work just fine when hand held. Easy to focus. Nice carry case and straps. Highly recommended!

Excellent binoculars. These pictures are taken though a not so clean sliding glass window. I put the 10x42 Steiner Tactical on a tripod and hel my cellphone up to it and took the first pic. Then I thought I'd zoom in a little and see what I'd get. Went well so max zoomed. Pretty amazing. I'm sure the 8x42 would be a little more stable, but these are keepers.

I have two pair of Steiner binoculars. One is a 8X30 Police model. Great all around for patrol work. I picked up the T1042 though for more covert uses and it will fit in my cargo pocket. Lower end Steiners still beat out higher end sporting brands.

I like the size and optics on these binoculars and I do recommend. The only issue I have is the eye piece lens covers get hung up on the wire slips ring that attaches the neck strap to the binoculars itself. Eventually these will cut into the rubber/vinyl and be useless. Other than that. It is easy to focus and adjust them with gloves on. They work in extreme cold without fogging up. I did have a slight problem in bright sunlight but thats was expected. What I like is the size is very comfortable to pocked and handle.

I am a fan of Steiner marine binoculars. I find these difficult to get a good sight picture. Might work better for others.
