Versatile servo
I used these servos in a 33% Miss Los Angeles. They work very well. Not much idle chatter, these servos respond quickly and smoothly. I'll definitely order more for my next project.

Certainly a good servo, especially for the price.
Among hitec's lower-end standard servos, this one seems to be an excellent balance of speed, strength, reliability, and price, though it doesn't win any one of those categories.I order these when I need them quickly and don't mind spending the extra bit over ordering from any number of Asian manufacturers. However, if you are willing to wait a little bit, some of non-brand-name Asian servos are getting pretty good for much less money. The thing that the no-brand servos just haven't caught up on yet is reliability. Subjectively, my Hitec servos last much longer, and I have yet to get a bad one (out of quite a few).

Excellent for large scale electric RC planes
I use these in large scale RC planes. I just bought 4 to put into my new SIG Kadet Senior 2 meter, 78" wingspan, 8 pounds lbs. The servos are precise, quiet, and if you use a small #1 or #0 Phillips head screwdriver you will NOT strip the screws. These are perfect for scale/slow flying large scale electric planes. I do not recommend these for gas glow planes, or RC cars. The karbonite gears while being more precises, lighter, and not wearing down, they are more brittle and the vibrations from gas glow motors, and crashes from RC cars will more easily break your servo gears. If you fly large scale electric airplanes you will not have an issue with the karbonite gears and will benefit from the precision, longer wearing gears, and lower power consumption from analog servos.Advantages of this servo. Price $20 is very cheap for the quality you receive, especially in 2021 when prices of electronics are rising in this hobby.Analog is better for my SIG airplane, because I do not need crazy fast speed, or insane torque. Analog runs quieter and consumes 2.5x LESS power than standard digital servos. * Compared to Hitec D645MW, Futaba D3305Karbonite. Yes, it has its downsides. It is more brittle than metal or nylon, but it wears the BEST out of the three gear train materials. Karbonite can also be cast and made more precisely than metal or nylon. Karbonite has been tested to more than 300,000 cycles with little to no wear! Metal, you can get 150-200 flights until the gear-train flop poses a risk (surface flutter) and requires replacements. Why is Karbonite the best material for my Sig Kadet Senior? Because it's lighter, and wears the best, and provides excellent precision, and happens to be cheap too! If you are needing a servo that will get beat up a lot, or ran on a gas or glow engine vehicle, I recommend metal, but if your upmost priority is precision, karbonite is the way to go.Money not being an issue, I considered the ProModeler 90, Hitec D625MW, D645MW, Futaba S3004, S3305, BlueBird BMS-621DMG+HS, Onyx (Tactic) S45 MG. I decided on the Hitec HS-485HB Karbonite because the gears last longer for my application, are more precise, consumes less power, and is still very affordable.

Great servo for the money.
I have been going through my fleet of RC airplanes in search of old standard servos and have been replacing them with this servo. I am replacing servos from Hitec that mention apollo 10 and Futaba ones that have the lines and dots for a logo.(That was a while ago, I know) I feel that these servos are the best value for the money. These servos only cost a couple dollars more than standard servos and you gain several advantages. You pick up more torque and the servos have karbonite gears which are typically more durable, all without sacrificing servo speed.

Great for the SPT200H from Servo City
Great servos, they fit my servo city SPT200H pan and tilt perfectly. It includes multiple horn types, screws, and grommets.

Great product although relatively expensive.
Quality motor. I was using this motor to track the sun for my small solar panels. This worked like a charm. I would highly recommend if you are looking for quality and don’t care about price too much.

... now or buy it again and again - would recommend..
Every Hitec servo I have bought seems to work without excess grinding and noise - bought to replace a cheep import that self destructed - the import servo said ball bearing and metal gear - the ball bearings were actually hard plastic bushings and the "metal gear" was there 1 metal gear that turned to crud along with the rest of the gears - spend now or buy it again and again - would recommend...
