so far, so good
The seller was Battery Superstore. I paid 15 bucks. It included the following connector adapter cables, but I don't use them:* one standard female Tamiya to alligator clips* one standard female Tamiya to small/mini male TamiyaI am using the Tenergy to charge a 7.2v 2000mAh battery and a 7.2v 3800mAh battery.I needed a banana connector to charge my batteries, so I also purchased a Redcat Racing ST-TAMFTO4B Version 4.0 Female Tamiya to Banana Adapter; the adapter fit the charger just fine. The charger is still new, and I haven't used it much. I'll update this review, if I have any problems.==============================Here are specifications from the Tenergy website:Indicators: LEDCompatible Chemistry: NiMH/NiCdInput Voltage: 100 - 240V ACCharging Voltage Range: 5.0V - 16VWeight: 236gOperating Temperature: -20°C - 80°COperating Humidity: 10% - 90%Storage Temperature: -20°C - 80°CStorage Humidity: RH < 85%Dimensions: 119mm x 61mm x 38mm (L x W x H)LED Indicators:* No Battery: Flashing Green* Charging: Solid Red* Fully Charged: Solid Green* Short Circuit: Flashing Red* Reverse Polarity: Flashing Red* Non-Rechargeable: Flashing RedHere is information from the user manual that was included with the charger:* it is a multi-current universal fast and smart charger* smart charger = just plug in battery and wait for it to be charged* for any NiMH battery packs from 6V-12V (5-10 cell pack)* do not charge battery packs under 6V or over 12V]* do not charge battery packs with capacity less than 1000mAh or over 5000mAh* it automatically detects the battery packs voltage* automatic cut-off by negative delta V detections, or* automatic cut-off when battery's temperature is over 60C* charger will stop charging after 4 hours (safety timer)* two current levels: 1000mAh and 2000mAh* for battery packs between 1000-2000mAh, use the 1.0A switch setting* for battery packs between 2000-5000mAh, use the 2.0A switch setting* for 5000mAh battery, charging time is about 210 minutes (using 2.0A setting)* for 2000mAh battery, charging time is about 150 minutes (using 1.0A setting)* one standard Tamiya male connector installed with the charger* red wire is positive polarity* always use the temperature sensor during charging* put the sensor onto the middle surface of the battery pack* Keep an eye on the battery pack when charging current switch is set to 2.0A.* Do not charge for a long time with such a large charge current.

Great overall charger for NiMh battery packs
I've used the charger exclusively for a Tenergy 9.6V 2000mAh NiMH battery pack so far, for an RC car application. Charging has been quicker than expected. The LED's make it clear when the unit is charging, and when the charge is complete. Charging is reportedly safe, with a switch to trickle charging or maybe just a cut-off when fully charged. There is a temperature sensing lead that is supposed to contact the battery casing to insure against overheating. While the sensor provides additional safety and adds to the battery life, it is a bit of a pain to set it up to maintain the proper contact. I still have a heavy clear plastic wrap around the battery pack, so I slip the sensor lead between the outer plastic wrap and the plastic wrap the holds the batteries together. If I have to remove that outer wrap, or it breaks, I would probably rest the battery on top of the probe, even if that may increase the heat reading.I've only charged on the lower, 1.0Amp setting. That charged the 2000mAh battery from where the car would show little/no signs of life, though perhaps not fully discharged, in an hour or so. Comes with multiple connector options, though the default connector matches my current battery pack. I'm very happy overall with the charger.

Charges Spike the Dinosaur
This charges our Fisher Price Spike the Dinosaur. Lost the original charger... Its not a perfect fit so u have to work the prongs a tad to get it in,Some reviewer said it could catch fire since it's not "original" but I've had no problems at all. To be safe, I place it on a plate while charging in case we need to throw it outside, lol!! I also don't leave it charging unattended & unplug when green light goes off. The first couple times the light when off in 15 mins one so and it didn't last for playtime more than 15 mins. Now I've turned it up and when the green light goes on I unplug it and then plug back in again several times. This seems to be working to get it more juice. Never more than 30 mins playtime tho. Now looking for a charger for his friend Big Foot. Different shaped plug... need a square & triangle so this won't work.

Just what I needed to get my RC car going again
I bought an adapter with this, and 2 new traxxas end batteries. The charger is great value, works well for my set up and seems durable. 10/10!

Allows me to charge diva batteries.
I just got into RC racing and my first attempt to charge my NICD battery was very confusing. I hooked up my original charger and noticed that the battery got very hot, and I had no idea of when to disconnect the battery. Furthering my frustration it seems that NICD batteries have a "memory" that remember where the battery left off. This is important because if you run your battery down to 20% and then try and charge it, it will only charge to 20% the next time. This battery charger allows me to work with batteries how I'm used to, with a red not charged and a green fully charged indicator, with a protection built in to not overcharge. I noticed immediately the batteries lasted longer, were not hot on charging, and essentially worked like most of the batteries we all use daily.A very positive benefit of this charger is that it charges very quickly, and allows you to choose the appropriate charging depending on the MAH rating.I'm very happy with this charger compared with the stock charger that came with my NICD battery.
