I've been using K&N filters for years in all of my cars. I even recommended them to my friends and family. This particular model fits my Audi A4 with a B9 engine without issues. The description suggests cleaning every 5 years, but I tend to inspect it every oil change and clean every 2 years. This filter comes sprayed with air filter oil, so don't forget to spray it lightly after cleaning. No noticeable performance or increased engine noise. This filter sits in an air box, so the suction noise is muffled, but it definitely improves air flow.

Took me five minutes from start to finish. Very easy to install in the Stock Audi airbox. very little noise level increase, which is exactly what I wanted. Twice the cost of a paper filter but I’ll get way more use out of it. Performance or not still a great value for a quality filter.

A cheap way to get more turbo and intake noises. I suppose you could see some performance gains if you have a tune to leverage the increased airflow. But this fits my B9 S5 and its not much more expensive than the factory paper filters.

I grew up thinking K&N makes the highest quality aftermarket filters. I purchased this thinking it would be a nice modest upgrade for my 2021 Audi Q5 as my engine filter was due for a replacement at 60k miles.Upon removing the K&N filter out of its wrapper I noticed the jagged edges on the rubber intake area that looks like an opening was cut by a 6 year old using a box cutter. Which made me think of potentially loose rubber particle inside that filter cavity which would get sucked into the combustion chamber. I tried shaking the filter upside down to see if I that's the case and guess what THREE BIG CHUNKS OF RUBBER FELL ON THE FLOOR - coming from INSIDE the filter!!! This is ridiculous given that these chunks would end up inside my engine if I were to install this "filter". Please see the photos I attached.In addition, the rubber section was separating from the hard plastic part as it can be seen on other reviews. Causing questionable air seal which is no good for any filtering application. Last but not least the intake ring size was vastly different than my OEM Mann filter - so even if the manufacturing quality was on par, this filter would not fit on my vehicle contrary to what's being advertised.I have never decided to return a purchase this fast before. Avoid this filter at all costs. It is unbelievable they charge ~$80 for this junk.
