Worth the money. Higher quality than expected.
I bought this pair for my son as he has reached adulthood. I have a pair I have used for years, not sure how many but more than 5. Mine are still in great condition and still very sharp. My son loves his as well.

8 years later!!!
I purchased these grooming scissors in 2015 and they are still kicking butt. I bought these for some fine tuning on my beard grooming. They are scissors and work as advertised... The quality is superb, maintaining a perfect edge for over 8 years now. I use these for facial hair only and keep the plastic cap to protect them. After all this I have a perfect product (yes the plastic tip cap yellows with age ;) ), and had to write a small review. This is quality craftsmanship, as expected, do not waste money on garbage and spend a few extra bucks. Buying a pair for my brother for Christmas this year

If you're left-handed, read this before buying!!!
These are the best I've used yet. I tried another brand and was not pleased: the finger holes were too small and facial hair seemed to slip through uncut. The Sanguine scissors are much better but still not as good as I'd hoped. They're sharp but poorly honed. If you have mustache hair resting on the cutting edge and you shift these a bit, say to adjust the cut angle, the hair will grab. I can't see this roughness, but it's clearly there. In some ways though that might be advantageous -- it's like a minaturized serration. My biggest problem though is that I still have hairs slipping through. I bought these because other reviewers said they're fine for left-handed folks. While the handles are symmetrical they don't work well for me and only now I think I know why. Go to Wikipedia, look up scissors and scroll down to the section on left-hand scissors. The short story is the body mechanics pull the blades apart rather than together. You really want a left-handed scissor. Most manufactures won't admit there's a difference because it costs too much to chase down the 10% of us who are different and the even fewer who don't know about these body mechanics.

High grade
Cuts splendidly! The only things I could complain about are nit-picks.The finger loops are rounded which is comfortable when being held with your fingers straight through them, perpendicularly to the scissors. It's more stable to hold them with your fingers slanted or angled through the loops but there's a hard edge that presses into the backs of your fingers when being held so.The finger tightening screw kept loosening every time I used the scissors but that seems to have worked itself out after just a couple weeks, being used briefly every 2-3 days. The case for it is quite simple and easy to persistently store it in but it fits a little too well - I ended up placing the plastic tip-guard in the case to prop up the scissors slightly to make them easier to grab. You'd probably need to pay a premium price to get something better than these. All-in-all, It does its job very well and I've no regrets!

Excellent product
These are some great scissors! My husband trimmed his own beard and I have used this to cut my child hair. They are excellent scissors and very high in quality. They are pretty sharp so you have to be extremely careful when cutting anything with them. They are professional grade if you ask me.

Try them on flyaway hairs
This will be one of the most simplest, basic reviews I've ever posted. I have a beard. Despite being of a relatively long-length, I keep my beard maintained and groomed. Problem with my beard is it likes to get soft, flyaway hairs in it. If you have this problem then you know using electric clippers is a waste of time. It will just push the hair down then the hair will pop back up. I tried 2-3 pairs of the cheaper barber scissors here on Amazon, but they were doing the same thing. They weren't sharp enough to cut the flyaway hairs. I tried these Sanguine and couldn't have asked for anything more. These are perfect, they have no trouble cutting the flyaway hairs. For what it's worth, I also cut my son's hair with them and they do a good job on regular hair too. Nice case too with a magnetic close feature.

Really happy with this purchase
Really happy with this purchase. I have been purchasing drugstore mustache scissors to trim the mustache of my beard and all of them have ended up either not cutting/pulling hair or both within a few uses. I was frustrated enough that I decided to just buy a nicer pair of scissors since I had pretty much spent 50 dollars on all of the failed cheap scissors. They don't receive heavy use but work perfectly for trimming every other day and cutting back stray hairs in my beard. I do wipe them after use but haven't performed any further maintenance. I've been using these for a little over two weeks and haven't noticed any change in how well they work. I'll update if that changes but these really seem built to last. The tips are not a sharp point so I don't have to get nervous when sliding under hairs I want to cut on my lip.
