2 Corkscrew Willow Trees - Live Tree Cuttings - Branches and Leaves Curl Very Distinctly Grow 2 Corkscrew Willow Trees

Q: Intend on keeping bonsai. Due to the rate of growth can i still tie 2 together to merge into 1 tree? I like my trees to have character.

the trees may rub togeather if not tied tight

Q: When do i have to buy i’m in 8 zone because it is so cold right now

They can grow in water for about 3 weeks before planting. In iowa we start planting around April 1st.

Q: What are the planting instructions? They weren’t in the envelope.

Place in water using a vase, bucket, glass…whatever holds water about half way up the cutting. I placed mine by the kitchen window where direct sunlight through the window only lasted about 2-3 hours. After visible roots were started (about a week) I planted into the ground about 1/3 of the cutting. I planted in March in 4A but if I were planting in the fall, I would push the cutting down further to encourage more roots with short time until winter. Water heavy but not everyday. Maybe old wives tale but I soak mine once every 4 days so not to make dependent upon water. (Maybe like salt pills to football players back in the day). Mine are in full sun but I did move them 1 time from partial shade. 2 cuttings started in late March are now 5 feet in September.
