Phantom door open/close and remote overhead light stopped working and this solved my problems.
My liftmaster sidload opener has been going strong for over 13 years without a single issue. However last month I came out in the morning and my door was open. I thought I must of left it open the prior night and didn't think twice about it. Then a few days later I was in the garage working with the door up and suddenly it started closing on it's. Then about two hours later it did the same thing again. My neighbor had just shut her door to walk her dog and turns out whenever she opened or closed her main garage door it was cycling mine! We tested it and sure enough mine would open and close with hers. In 13 years of use this has never happened and was very concerning because I have probably $30k worth of tools in my garage.I cleared all the remotes from my opener and re-bound mine thinking that would solve the issue and sure enough a day later it happens again but when another neighbor opened or closed their door. I called Liftmaster and they suggested a new board. My guess is that one of the receivers for one of the two frequencies it uses to verify your remote transmitter died so whenever a neighbors garage hits the same frequency of the sole remaining receiver it triggers the door. Replacing the board is very simple and only took about 10 minutes. Hardest part was getting all your door sensor wires back in the right spot, but I did the original install 13 years ago so no problem for me. After replacing and re-binding my remotes I have not had any other issues. In fact it solved another issue with my remote liftmaster ceiling light. For nearly two years that ceiling light has stopped working. After changing bulbs and re-binding it I thought it has just died after 13 years. I had not replaced it because I can't bring myself to spend 70bucks on the replacement. I had actually just taken it down and tossed it in the trash but pulled it out when i ordered the new board. And sure enough that's why the light was not working, it must of been on the same frequency that died on the board so it stopped getting the signal to turn the light on and off. Now it's working fine again, glad I pulled it out of the trash! Was also about $20 cheaper than from Liftmaster. Date of production on the board was only 6 months prior to receiving it so it's current stock too.

Fixed my problem but too expensive
This fixed my Jackshaft opener. It was opening by itself which is an unacceptable failure mode. It would open a few inches or feet and then close and open and it would continue doing this. It worked fine if I removed the wall controller. The voltage at the wall controller was dropping below 4v when it started to act up. The price is ridiculous considering a whole garage opener with remotes and sensors is not much more money but I did want to do the work to switch back to a standard opener. In hindsight I would not buy another Jack shaft opener.

Works well with Liftmaster 3800PLD
Bought the board for my Liftmaster 3800PLD. My remotes were not opening the door beyond 6 feet away from the door. Apparently this replacement unit behaves better, but still not as far as it used to be. Might due to other factors I haven't identified yet.The external power port is close to impossible to take out for the old unit. I chose to cut the cable and simply not using the new one, leaving it cramped behind the board. As noted by some other posts, the 3 mounting holes are not threaded. You may want to use the old screws to thread them before attempting to install them in place. Driving in the screws on a table will be much easier than doing it while standing on top of a ladder holding your tools at an odd angle.

Warranty Joke...not
Warning when purchasing this product! It stopped working 3 weeks after installing. Now the company says it has to be returned in the original box before they will give a refund! Who keeps all of the original boxes after a product is working correctly?

Easy install - fixed my problem
Garage door wall unit stopped working and after doing my research I was hoping this would fix the problem. Install and reprogramming the door too about 20 minutes and everything works great again.

Don't pay a garage door company, do it yourself
Suddenly, my garage door stopped operating. After making sure it was plugged in and all the connections were seated, it was clear the only other option was the main board had failed. This replacement board shipped fast enough and only took a few minutes to replace. The provided instructions were very clear and detailed on reprogramming your system. Saved several hundred dollars doing it my self.

Make sure the ring gear set screws are tight before setting limits!!
Product worked perfectly. Watched some YouTube videos and kept running into issues where it stop inconsistently. I had reset it at least 30 times from the ladder... Frustrating. Finally found on the chamberlain site to check the shaft coupler and ring gear set screws. Yup they were loose enough I could turn by hand. Not sure how or when that happened but tightened them and BAM!! It stopped where I wanted top limits and bottom limits. What the book or online doesn't tell you is you need a working opener remote. Find one and hit learn button to program first. You can not do it by yourself with just the wall button. I had looked at other reviews but non had listed what I ran into so I'm trying to help others. This is the updated version b which supersedes the regular version.

Worked like a champ
Gave new life into this 2009 Liftmaster 3800. The control panel stopped receiving power and the opener would randomly open and close. Replacement was straight forward - just need to relearn all devices, light, etc.
