Light shredding only
This is a very good shredder for light work. My only two issues with this shredder is the over heating and the speed. The reason I think it over heats is because the shredded paper compresses itself in the grooves where the teeth rotate. I found that I had to remove the clogged paper my self using long nosed pliers. Although it says it can shred up to 10 sheets of paper, I found it struggled with 4 or 5 so I started shredding 3 sheets at a time

Good value
A bit noisey, but does a great job. Good security rafting and easy to use. Has a good size bin ahd a handle on the head which makes it easy to pick up and move. Good length power cable fitted, you don't need an extension fot it.

Sturdy, efficient and easy to use.
I've had a small home shredder for several years, which served me well for shredding envelopes, bank statements and the like, for security reasons, but when I decided that the time had come to destroy 46 years' worth of diaries, I knew that I needed a bigger one. After some research this one looked about right - not too big and expensive, but not too small for the job. Six large black bin liners of shredded paper later, I can confirm that I chose well. It's relatively quiet (for a shredder!), easy to use, will take 8 sheets at a time (that's 8 sheets of 80gsm - but you soon get the hang of how much it will cope with happily). Every now and then, if you're shredding continuously, it needs to cool down and will tell you so - but that's true of all shredders: it's a heat-generating operation. If you're not shredding continuously as I was, you may never encounter an overheat.I'm very pleased with it. It doesn't take up much room in my home office, is inconspicuous, easy to maintain, easy to operate and well made. It also takes a LOT of paper before it needs emptying, but emptying is very simple too - you just use the in-built handle to lift the shredder unit from the base (which is just a 21 litre rectangular waste bin, basically) and empty it into a bin bag. And it's environmentally friendly too - plain (not glossy) shredded paper can be used for all sorts of things - from composting and animal bedding to craft projects lie paper making and papier-mache. Win-win.

Shreds paper without any fuss.
Simple to operate and so far no jams. Works a treat on junk mail so I can stick it in the hot bin for compost. Does A4 size with no fuss. Put 7 sheets through it and it never faltered. Easy view window to see when it needs emptying is handy. Good bit of kit for under my desk at a reasonable price.

Engine keeps grinding but blades stopped shredding after 5 months
I bought this shredder as my other shredder died after a couple years. Spent more on this one as it could do more than 4 pages at a time- definitely save me shredding time. Worked a wonder for the first couple months. I was well aware to keep BELOW the maximum shredding pages allowance and I also used the correct shredder lubricant papges. But this DIED on me in January. Just stopped shredding even though there were no blockages and the engine could still be heard to run. Wasted my money as I have to buy another shredder.

Good shredder
Does the job and has a large bin capacity. However when shredding paper it is fairly noisy.

A robust and competent machine.
I’ve not had a great track record when it comes to shredding machines, many (5) barely last 6 months before giving up the ghost, even expensive ones. I have found that brands that state ‘can shred up to 10 sheets at a time’ in reality, mean only if those 10 sheets were tissue paper. anything heavier and paper jamming and overheating were commonplace. So, it was with some trepidation that I bought this shredder as I had accumulated a large amount of previous years accounts/paperwork etc that really needed to be securely disposed of. I’ve now had this unit for about five weeks and have really put it through its paces and it has ‘behaved’ beautifully. I’ve filled 10 bin bags of paper waste in that time, allowing for the occasional cooling down period, although admittedly not taking it to the 10 sheet max, probably 4/5 sheets at a time, but it has handled all the shredding impressively. Just how long the unit will last remains to be seen but I have high hopes seeing how much I’ve shredded to date and lighter use now expected. So I’m happy with this buy.
