Best I've tried
This trap is working great. I was skeptical when reading some reviews, but gave it a try. Using it in my shed and got 3 mice in 2 days. Directions to set the sensitivity weren't to bad but I decided to temporarily tape a penny at the end and that works really well. I definitely recommend this as a better mouse trap.

Updated Review
--Original Review-- 2 Stars -- Very poor quality for a product which is supposedly made in the USA. I've attached photos which show that the adjustment screw doesn't align with the magnet opening, making adjustment impossible. The photos also show how the assembly isn't square, causing the sides to pinch the plank an preventing the plank from returning to it's ready position. I feel like I paid more for a high quality item made in the USA. I should have just gone with the Chinese junk and saved a few bucks.--Updated Review-- 4 Stars ---After reading my original review, the Planky Pro team sent me a newer version of the product. It is all black and appears to be of much higher quality. The parts are aligned properly and the trap works as expected. I'm not sure which product they are shipping now, but the photos on Amazon now look like this all-black version which is new and improved.

It worked for me
This product worked as described. It was so easy to setup. Basically put it on the side of a 5 gallon bucket check if it tips correctly, if not you can adjust the screw up or down then bait it(peanut butter). I put a piece of flexible pipe insulation as a ramp. I cut the tubing to size and then stuffed the tubing into the opening right below the plank. I left it out for 3 days and have trapped one mouse so far. As with any trap, you need to be patient because rodents need to become accustomed to a new/different item in their domain. The plank seems to be higher quality than some others I've seen. So far I give it two thumbs up.**UPDATE**So far I've caught 5 mice. FYI Don't over-bait the trap w/peanut butter, it effects the planks ability to reset (flip back up) after the plank tips.

Works well however mice are smart
Have your container lid tight and small enough for the mice not to squeeze out. The first two mice got out by simply jumping out and I had cellophane over the top but not closed tight enough I used a tall Home Depot bucket. Once the two got out they must have told the others to stay away. Only caught one more, three in totalRecommend cutting out the side of the container, up high and maybe some foam or something close to the hole to block the opening but still let the plank drop. Must have the closed lid punch small hole w/ice pick. I put a little water on the base to keep the mice's paws wet. I used a yard stick worked fine.

The mouse did not die because it was NEVER caught.
I had a mouse that ran in an open door. When I got this trap, I bought a new 5 gallon bucket and some bait that was supposed to be really good. Set the bucket up in a closet where we heard the mouse. Next morning, bucket was empty and the bait was still there. This went on for days with us moving the bucket from room to room. After about 10 days, we stopped hearing the mouse. Either he got out of the house (we have 4 exterior doors), or we will find a mummified mouse sometime. We live in the country. I feel the wood plank is far too long for any smart mouse. It needs it to be long because of the height of the bucket. We are keeping it and will try it again if we get another mouse. So far it is Smarty Pants 1, Dumber than Dirt 0

These traps work
I bought these on Amazon to replace one I had purchased locally a year and a half ago that wore out. I've used these traps to successfully eliminate an average of 10 packrats/week from my property in southern California's Mojave Desert.Following a particularly wet winter two years ago, we suffered a plague a packrats. They were everywhere, and destroying everything they touched. A single one of these traps eradicated an average of 10 packrats/week, along with the occasional antelope squirrel or desert chipmunk. disposing of the carcasses is a breeze; I simply yeet the contents of the bucket over my fence, and the juicy water-logged vermin make an easy meal for a lucky coyote or raven. Then it's just a matter of refilling the bucket and freshening the peanut butter bait about once a week.Much, much more efficient than spring traps, which in my experience tend to wear-out after about four uses and often come apart as you're arming them, inflicting pain and injury on the unlucky soul manipulating the trap.

I bought this as an alternative and I'm really happy with it
I bought this for my parent's house and their barn. They were having few mouse problem. Initially we tried sticky mats but they were really expensive as you would've to change it after a week even if it didn't catch any mice. But most of the time it chicken (that my parents raise) would get their foot stuck in those mats. It was a pain. I bought this as an alternative and I'm really happy with it. Very easy to set up. Caught some mice on first week and it's reusable. It looks like this trap is made out of plastic compared to wooden trap out there. So it is ultra light and durable. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for get rid of their mice problem.

This trap works great.........One time
This trap worked wonderfully the first night I set two traps. I caught two rats. After that, the rats would go up the board and eat the bait but would not go out on the plank.Maybe I just have very smart rats. In the two weeks I have set the traps as directed and the rats will not go out on the plank. I would love to have suggestions on how to get the trap to fool the rats again.Mike
