Excellent latch
I have a full sized door that needed a spring latch. I tried a magnet catch, it wouldn't hold the door closed. I got this latch and it is perfect! It works perfectly to hold the door closed and with a slight push, pop the door open. Would definitely buy again and highly recommend.

Easy replacement for OEM product
We have a Scandinavian Designs console the this type of latch that, after one year, would no longer latch. Bought this and it fit perfects in the current screw holes, only had to use the catch potion (not the "ball" part). It seems to be more positive than the original, and so far has lasted 18 months, longer than the original.

Very effective hold
A little tricky to get it all lined up in certain style cabinet doors; RV.

Product worked well for 6 years, but broke and it's a pain.
We bought this 6 years ago for a cabinet door. It worked fine for the past 6 years, but for the past 6 months, it'd gotten harder and harder to open (it would take 3-4 pushes to open it) until now it's officially broken (pushing it will not release the ball, been trying for like 2 days now). I have to use a crowbar or something to break the product, which may damage the door in order to replace it :(

These latches are great. They work just like the little push-to-release latches ...
These latches are great. They work just like the little push-to-release latches in some cabinets, but they're sturdy enough for outdoor use and hold strongly enough to keep a screen door open easily. I installed a pair of them, one on each of our exterior doors, and they've been coated in ice for the past couple weeks with no ill effects. One word of advice: the piece that fits into the catch needs to be lined up very accurately. It has about a half-centimeter window that it works in. Our doors have shifted enough that we now have to lift them slightly to line them up. Just keep in mind when installing. If you figure the door is likely to sag over time, install the knob as high as possible.

I've used this to secure a very large cabinet door ...
I've used this to secure a very large cabinet door which would much rather stay open, and which pushes back at you with some force. This latch holds it very well, and releases very well as it''s supposed to when you push against the cabinet door. I even tugged on the door to see if the latch would submit, and it just kept its grip. It does lack mounting instructions, but using a grease marker on the back of the peg allows you to situate it exactly where it should be. I think it's a handsome-looking unit too.

Quality of unit seems good
Was concerned with this unit being plastic to replace my old metal door latches but I actually like this more now as it is much quieter when opening and closing the closet doors I use them on and I may replace the older units later. Just be real careful installing any type of latch like this because if you mount the main locking piece too far back inside the door jam you may get yourself in a real pickle trying to get your door open as you need to be able to push the door in just slightly to release the latch mechanism. Have had this unit in place for a couple months and no problems with it so far.
