I’ve got nothing negative to say about the UE Boom line (except the UE Blast, but they’re not the same and don’t really deserve to be acknowledged here).I’m a bit of an audio snob but they have great sound and powerful volume. Not just for their compact size but even in general I never need max volume.They’re basically indestructible. I thought my recliner was broken for months because I lost one in the hinge and would have to slam it down to get the foot rest back in place. Eventually I ended up having to flip it over and there was my speaker I’d been crushing this whole time, kept working just fine.The party up mode though, that’s what really does it for me. I currently own 7 and can play them all in sync at the same time, even across multiple rooms.In party up mode you can run into them cutting in and out around 30ish feet apart but I’ve found that mostly happens when I’m blocking them from my phone rather than each other. If you’re just using one outside though I’ve gone 50ish feet away without any problems.I’ve owned the UE Boom, Boom 2, and Megaboom and to be totally honest they’re not markedly different. Pick your favorite color, you won’t be disappointed.

I wanted a 360° speaker to place on my table at mealtime. This speaker is attractive, discreet, sounds great and gives us a lot of listening enjoyment at dinner. I like it so much I have already ordered a second speaker. I recommend downloading and using the UE app which allows for fine-tuning of the speaker’s sound with an equalizer.

I would give this five stars, it sounds great! But I bought to use withe my google home mini. Google home finds UE Boom 2 through the blue tooth pairing process just fine, and I am able to play music through the UE Boom. Then when I come back google home will not play through it - then the blue tooth pairing in google home app on my phone shows a mac address rather than "UE Boom 2", and will not play through. I have completely reset the google home mini several times. So to play through the UE Boom 2 I have to re-pair every time. Frustrating. The UE Boom 2 plays fine from my phone, so I think the issue is probably on the google-mini end

Love these speakers! Needed to update the speaker software to get it to connect with others in 'party mode', but other than that, works great.
