Mighty nice little Toaster
Nice FAST toaster. I like the compact size for my tiny kitchen. The stainless steel compliments stainless and black stove since I leave it on the counter. It was a great price for what it does.

Quick toaster
This toaster is really fast, which is what we wanted. The toast sometimes comes out a little uneven (more done on one side). But it's still a nice product and a good buy.

Affordable and efficient toaster!
I recently replaced my overpriced, underperforming toaster with the BLACK+DECKER Rapid Toast 2-Slice Toaster, and what a difference! This little toaster lives up to its name – it's incredibly fast. It did take a few tries to find the sweet spot on the dial for my preferred level of toastiness, but once I figured it out, I've been enjoying perfectly golden-brown toast every morning. What I love most is how it toasts bagels. The outside gets perfectly crisp and crunchy, while the inside stays soft and chewy. Honestly, there's simply no comparison between this affordable gem and my previous "fancy" toaster. If you're looking for a quick and efficient toaster that delivers delicious results, look no further!

Does not have a working bagel setting and crumb tray is useless!
Where do I start? I can say it is an attractive, extremely well made fit of SS materials and it ends there. in this new world of AI I suppose companies are left with complete idiots as designers and engineers. Right out of the box when I noticed how the crumb tray operated I formed an opinion, boy thats going to make a mess! why it doesn't have a tray that slides out like I assume all modern day toasters have is beyond me. Next is the bagel function that the toaster boast of having, well it doesn't. What is has is a button thats non functional. normally the top of a toaster has stamped into it's metal components an icon of a bagel with cut sides in towards center of toaster. This toaster has warnings "hot surfaces" in three languages, excuse me there at Black+Decker, question, is that for your idiots? Myself, I know not to touch metal surfaces that cook, learned that when I was a baby, has stuck with me ever sense! It would have been nice, in my opinion, if Black+Decker would have put this toaster through the simple test of functionality, they too would have discovered these two important functions of a simple appliance, A non working bagel setting with a useless crumb tray. If you are looking to buy an attractive toaster that does not do bagels the way bagels are meant to be toasted and you can live with the flawed crumb tray get the toaster. for You there at Black+Decker, send this one back to design and get it right this time! I WILL BE SENDING THIS ONE BACK.

Excellent rapid toast
I was skeptical at first, but this little toaster delivers exactly as promised. In our household, we used to rely on a toaster oven, which took around 5 minutes to make toast — between preheating, placing the bread on the rack, and hoping it wouldn’t overcook or burn. Half the time, we’d forget the toast was even in there, and it would end up wasted. Now? Toast is done faster than brewing a cup of coffee in the Keurig. It may sound silly, but this simple switch has made a noticeable improvement in our daily routine. Quick, efficient, and no more forgotten toast. Highly recommend!

Looks good, but crumb-y mess
For me, it came down to this Black & Decker model or the compact size Cuisanart and I chose to give this one a whirl. I have less flexibility in purchasing because I need a toaster that isn't too long/deep, in order to fit inside my appliance garage. On the positive side, this is an attractive toaster and it works a whole lot faster than our old, cheap toaster that just bit the dust. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review. With regular bread, it toasts OK. One side is perfect (around setting 4), but the other side is not identical. The other side is noticeably less brown. Not the end of the world, but wish both sides toasted evenly. We don't use the Bagel setting. It is strange, but when I look into the toaster when it's on, it appears that some columns of coils are brighter (working harder) than other columns of coils. With Thomas's English muffins, I put it at the longest setting (7), and it unfortunately it's not long enough. The very top portion of the muffin will get done just right, but 3/4 of the bottom portion is not brown at all. So I flip it around and toast it some more. The thing that we REALLY do not like are all of the crumbs that just fall out of this toaster very easily. When we gently slide out the toaster on the countertop, (not picking it up), all of the crumbs just fall out of the thing. The crumb tray is poorly designed anyways. In order to access it you have to turn the thing on it's side to access the bottom. It should be designed so that the crumb tray is easily accessible to just slide out from it's normal sitting position. (Which I noticed most of the new toasters do nowadays.)Another design flaw is that the little white setting indicator on the knob is located on the outer RIM of the knob, instead of on the front of the knob. So when you turn it to different settings, you can't see what number setting you're on unless you move your body and/or the toaster itself. I can see the indicator when it's at a 4, because the 4 is at the 12:00 position, but I can't see it when it's at a 1 or a 7. Somebody really wasn't thinking here.Lastly, my husband adds another complaint. If he is toasting an English muffin and needs to use the lift lever, he likes to place his thumb on the top of the toaster so that the entire toaster doesn't lift up. (The toaster is light-weight.) He doesn't like that the top of the toaster gets too hot and burns his thumb. Just so you know, you can use lift the lever more gentle so that the entire toaster doesn't lift. You have to baby it.After reviewing TONS of toasters before making this purchase, I came across an excellent review who commented on exactly what I was observing, too. There aren't any toasters on Amazon that have great reviews. They are all cheaply made and don't toast consistently, and I don't remember any that could toast an English muffin on the highest setting in one attempt. During the course of my research, the SMEG brand (on another website) had a lot of positive reviews, but the dimensions of their toaster didn't fit my requirements. So for all you entrepreneurs out there, someone needs to do for toasters what Dyson did for vacuum cleaners. Really, this shouldn't be rocket science. People will pay more for an appliance that is effective, saves time, and is reliable for a long time.

Fast
It's fast as advertised. Otherwise, same as all other toasters. Uneven toasting.
