How thick is the wood itself? i'm thinking of purchasing, but want to drill a hole and add a grommet to slip a usb cable through.

About half inch thick...really beautiful...you won't be sorry.

how wide is the stand? my Cloud IIs are rougly 3.5in wide, will these fit totally?

Looking at it straight on: the base is 5 1/2 inches wide, height is 10 inches, at the widest part of the curve 5 1/4 inches, Looking from the side: front to back it's 4 1/4 inches at the cylinder bottom stands, the wooden curve is a little over 3 inches
