The difference between the TUFF TOE v2 and the Tuff Toe Original Formula is that the v2 is a more rigid, durable and stronger formula, which is perfect for steel toe boots.

Works very well, but I believe prep is key to a good application
Bought this for covering the toes on my Red Wing work boots (composite toes). RW wanted way too much to apply a 'similar' product. I've used other toe guard materials in the past that either peeled off under use or got cut up during use. I followed the package instructions for prep and application. Two coats were applied and I allowed the boots to cure undisturbed for 48 hours before first use. I applied this in Nov 2024 and have been working in the boots 5D/wk, 10 hr days until now (end of April 2025) in a warehouse/distribution center. They are wearing very well with only a couple of visible paint scuffs from kicking around some painted pallets. No cuts or apparent scuffs to surface finish of the material, no separation from the leather at this point - and to note, at this point the two other products I used had already started to come off or get torn up. A bit pricier that some of the paint on toe guard material but so far I'd say it's well worth the slightly extra cost and the time to put it on (2 boots, 2 coats, prep was about 15 mins/boot, application was about 15 mins/boot, then let them cure for 48+ hours before use)

Holding strong, so far
The repair has held up to some pretty hard days so far. I sanded/scuffed as per the directions. I wiped the area down with acetone really well. The syringe was easy to press. I thought I wa gonna run out on the second boot, but had exactly the right amount for both. If it buys me 6 more months in my Keens, it was worth it. I wish the brown matched better.

This is a must
If you have steel toses or composite toe you need this to keep your boots protected. I work in a tire shop where the pedals destroy the front of your boots. I bought this for the first time 4 years ago and I buy it every new pair. Worth all the money.

Work fast
It's works well, but DO NOT USE THE SWIRLY APPLICATION TIP if you plan on spreading on. You will have about 2 minutes of working time unless you mix it manually in a tray.

Definitely worth a try.
Drys really quick so make sure there is no ripples when you lay your beed but otherwise the stuff is awesome. Definitely would grab your own sandpaper and make sure you get it perfect the first time because there is no fixing it. Definitely worth a try.

Great investment!
The best investment you can make on a pair of boots! If prepped right, the toes of your boots will outlast the sole. I'm sending my old boots off for a 3rd set of soles and only now have I had to touch up the original tuff toe with the extra from my new boots.

Terrible service mediocre product
I’ve used tuff toe and kgs both for many years. I. Ought a new pair off redwing 877’s for work. Mind you I get new boots roughly every 8-10 months. Bought tuff toe and the applicator applied it like I always do prepped everything good. Let it cure over the weekend. First day both boots peeled off. Emailed tiff toe numerous times and they won’t reply. I just won’t do business with company’s who get your money and say see you after that. If you want go toe guard on your boots buy kgs it lasts way longer and is overall a better product. It may not look as nice initially after the application . But it’s the same if you tape it up and sand it and prep it good you can make it look just as nice. but after a week it’s all scratched up anyways so it doesn’t make a different for me. I guess moral of the story buy lgs they have good product and good customer service. You can spend 80$ and the product and applicator gun and they won’t even repsond. Not to mention for a quarter of the price you get enough kg to do 4 pairs of boots . You spend 40$ with tuff toe and I didn’t even have enough to finish my size 15 boots just skimpy

Indestructible
I’ve used this for 5-6 pairs of boots and have never had a problem! Super durable I’ve kicked the ends of metal tuning and not even a mark.
