Q: Will this work for any skylanders game?

No it won't. I was told at gamestop it will work for swap force and possibly Giants. It doesn't work for trap team or superchargers.

Yes this works with Imaginators. Also, works with Spyro's adventure and Giants. So it works for 4 of the 6 Skylander games.

Q: Will the ps3 portal work on the wii u?

I believe they are game system specific. So, no.
