Went fishing at weekend with this product. Easy to set up, so smooth when realling in,found the quality as good as high end with a great size,and look as good. Great value for money.

If your buying on the name Mitchell don’t expect a Mitchell of old, that said they are a budget reel and as such will do a job they are smooth the drag is progressive the free spool latches and un latches very well and the nail snaps over well, if I had a slight negative the handle could be better Oh and the pre spooled line is fit only for the bin, if I were to buy again I would get a bare reel

My original reel is a Mitchell and 30+ years old so when I started fishing again and wanted a second reel I thought why not get another one. Pleased I did. Quality is good and it’s a pleasure to use. Bait runner feature is new to me and I really like it.Supplied line isn’t great though and I wish they just sold it bare ready for your line of choice.Just ordered another one so I have two matching rods & reels for ledgering and will use my trusty old carp rod and reel for surface work.

Reel arrived ok and seems to work (havent tried out yet) but clearly the box had been opened and there was no documentation, just the reel in a plastic bag. I have purchased the same reel before so I know how it should have been. Just because this was reduced in the spring deal, doesn't mean the customer should be sold opened items.
