Great paint.
Good paint, nice to use, doesn't smell too bad, dries well, goes directly onto rust well. Recommended.

easy application, quick drying time, and high-quality finish makes it a product I would recommend
The paint goes on smoothly and evenly, with excellent coverage. I found that one coat was often sufficient for solid color coverage, but a second coat definitely enhanced the finish and durability. The quick-drying formula is a standout feature; I was able to handle and apply subsequent coats in a minimal amount of time, which made the entire process much more efficient.

Easy to apply
Pleased with this paint. I wanted a satin finish. Looks nice and paints nicely. So much easier to clean the brush using water. It did not drip so that was a bonus.

Mediocre paint lets down established brand
I really wanted to rate this higher, but there were too many things not quite right, which I was shocked by given the Rustins brand.Firstly, when you advertise a paint as green, and have a green "colour" sample on the front of it, the paint should be green, not a blue/green.Secondly, and perhaps this is due to the "quick dry" formula, but if you try to be light handed with the paint so as to avoid blobs/runs, the paint contracts and leaves unpainted areas. If you are a little heavier with the paint to counteract this, the paint has a tendency to blob, which then cracks and looks poor. All together not easy to apply.Lastly, even after taking the time to prepare the metal correctly, I still ended up with a weird yellow dotting on the first coat, meaning between that and the poor finish I had to put a thick second coat on leading to a loss of detail on the painted item.Initially, the paint seemed good value for money with the size of the tin, but with all the issues above I would just buy the more expensive competitors paint next time.

Great paint for metal
Paint is quite thin so spreads quite far and covers well. Happily goes straight onto metal and even (cleaned up) rust. Tried it on plastic and that worked too. The second coat really sets it off and it dries to a nice even satin finish without brush marks. Beware this paint dries really fast - in just a few minutes - so its possible to re-coat in a few hours only. The paint seems to cure (if thats the right word for setting to a tougher finish) in about a day. Only used recently so can't comment on long term durability. Best of all, the brush can be cleaned in water.

Good coverage with two coats.
Rustins quick dry metal paint was not that quick to dry as having to leave until the next day to apply the second coat, however the temperature in September not that warm, that said the first coat coverage not brilliant either and a second coat certainly required.Once dry it does leave a shiny surface which is totally waterproof and seemingly robust to resist scratches however as winter approaches durability unknown until spring next year.
