Top price buys top quality
I've had many smart phones and tend to get through a case every year. Because of this i usually head for the budget end of the market finding one's in the region of £10 to guard my pride and joy... and they do this very well. My phones often look like the day they were bought when it comes to upgrade time so there's nothing wrong in the bargain basement in my eyes. So why go for this top end case? Well the Note 9 has been my most expensive phone to date and i had the cash to buy an official Samsung case, it looked neat and stylish and complimented the blue colour of my phone so why not. So glad i did, the fit is a perfect snug one where everything, buttons, cutouts, mic etc line up perfectly as they should with an official product at this price. The LED front is electronic wizardry, i love it. Because of NFC the phone instantly recognizes the case is fitted and adds options under the advanced features in the main phone settings menu. You get different icons flash up on the front cover when you recieve messages, phone calls etc. In red white and green. You even get an icon editor where you can assign different icons to different contacts and even draw and add your own. Just a little flip on the case and the current time flashes on the front which is a useful feature. It's just a cool bit of kit that does so much more than i expected. The camera and fingerprint sensor cutout on the rear of the case is neat and works well unlike the make do case i had at first where it was awkward to use the sensor to wake the phone up. One final thing to mention is the card holder inside. It only holds one card and an emergency £10 note which i found limiting at first as i used to carry 3 cards in my last case but I've worked around that problem. Overall really pleased even after having to pay top dollar as the product is top quality.

Great Case from Samsung!
Surprised at how nice this item is it has exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend the case to anyone, no problems with my type of usage. I have read some negative reviews and can see that it may not suit some people but I find it excellent and a high quality case that has nice features for my Note 9, the texture I find superb it provides wonderful tactile grip. The led display is clear and very easy to read and you can customise notifications and icons, I love how you can answer calls without opening the case and I also like the look of the phone with the case attached. All ports stylus etc are all easily accessible with the case fitted, from some of the negative reviews I have read they state that the case does not protect the screen if dropped this is because the case does not clip shut or have any fastening so will open if dropped. I have a glass screen protector in place but have not dropped my phone so far, I am very careful when using my phone anyway and have never had a cracked screen on any mobile I have owned. In summary a stylish covering for your Note 9 highly recommended.

But is it really worth it?
So... a bulky case for a massive phone... that cost over £30... and has fancy LEDs...I'll give it to Samsung, they sure know how to make a product that appeals to impulsive idiots like me. Though, maybe I'm just trying to justify my purchase of a case that cost over £30.Well, as you would expect, the case itself is rather high-quality. It's got a nice, textured feel, and fits in well with the modern minimalist surroundings of your average tech-enthusiast's desk. To the unassuming eye, it looks just like a normal case, if not a bulky one, though as soon as you hit the power button, the LEDs at the top of the cover light up in a most pleasing pattern to show you the time. Then, when you open it, the screen will merrily turn on, and then you'll have to fiddle a bit to hit the fingerprint reader, and then you'll finally be able to tuck the cover where it belongs when the phone is in use: right around the back.It does more than that. You can get an app that'll allow you to customise various patterns and allow you to make your own, and then assign them to various other apps. When you get a notification, it'll light up, and if you don't immediately go to look at it, it'll flash a pattern every now and then to remind you that it's there.Somewhat annoyingly, the hinge is a little stiff, meaning that, if you leave it open/folded backwards for too long, the cover won't properly go back down on the screen, sometimes bouncing back up in a most annoying fashion. If you have a little patience, it'll eventually stick, but the lack of magnets to hold it down is a tad irksome. The curve on the cover that wraps it neatly around the curved edges of the Note 9's screen also isn't that comfortable to hold, least of all because there's a constant worry that, if you don't hold it right/hold it too tightly, you'll bend it out of shape, and you £30+ case will be aesthetically unpleasing.Honestly, it's a stupid thing that seems more like something Apple would do, but it is a quality product, and if you bought the Note 9 at launch, it's only £30 more than the over £1000 price. However, while it may look nice, feel nice, work nicely, and fit in really well, it's just not worth it. Why have I rated it four stars, then? Well... again, it is a quality product. Just don't get it.
