Now my wife wants one...
This chair replaces a 2 1/2 year old Mac Motion chair whose bonded leather was flaking off. My first and last experience with bonded leather. That one replaced a 25 year old swivel recliner whose frame broke, the leather was fine. That is more what I expect for quality. The sliding and swiveling is very smooth, like the $2,500+ recliners, the leather seems very nice, rather soft, and the design is super. It gives great back support. Not plush but I don't want that. The materials and attachment points seem solid and well constructed. I was in interior design for a while and have a little training on furniture construction. My wife has been happy for years with her leather love seat but after trying my new chair now she wants one. She is super into being comfortable so I'm a bit surprised she would like a firmer experience. We just received her chair and she is delighted.Assembly was easy. There are some reviewers complaining that it doesn't let them sit upright. That's true at first. However, the adjustment mechanism under the seat has a big obvious adjustment bolt at the back. Unscrew it for a half inch more rod travel and it will sit more upright. I'm using a laptop computer day and evening and the minimum recline is perfect for me. If you want to sit more upright it looks like it is possible to remove the slider rod under the front of the chair and cut it shorter. A block of hardwood shim to hold the slider support to the frame should also work. However, you probably won't be able to lean all the way back again but give it a try.

Unsightly Peeling of Fake Topcoat = Extreme Disappointment At 16 Months
I bought this chair, Mac Motion Oslo Collection Recliner with Matching Ottoman in Cobblestone Top Grain Leather with Walnut Frame in the cobblestone and walnut finish about 16 months ago. For several months I was very happy with the quality and comfort of the chair. My questions started when I noticed a few small peeling areas near the seams on the footrest. After all, the set is advertised as top-grain leather. I did additional research, and indeed multiple sources stated that real leather does not peel. The only possibility I could find that didn't amount to false advertising was the chance that the leather was finished with some kind of top coating. I decided to trust this was the case as long as the peeling didn't continue, as it was barely noticeable. However, very recently, while preparing to move, I noticed much more significant peeling on the headrest area where my naturally oily hair (and yes, I shower and shampoo every other day) seemed to have done a lot more damage to the finish. I tried to clean and buff down the area to remove peeling flakes and try to prevent further damage, and found to my (very near) horror that the coating continued to peel, even areas that didn't appear damaged yet. Even simply rubbing my finger over the general area caused this coating to peel away and roll up like dead skin off an old blister. The material underneath, whatever it is, doesn't specifically look like woven fabric, but it is uneven in color and the way it picks up water, and doesn't look like real leather, either. At this point, the chair is out of warranty, and I can't yet be certain it isn't real leather under there, but I will likely contact the company anyway for starters to see what they say. What I do know is that I feel great disappointment in the disintegration of the chair's finish, and in my doubts about what was really used in its manufacture. Odd as it may sound, I would have far rather found that my oily hair was badly staining real leather than to have this fake shiny coating insidiously peeling away.I will update this review if I have new findings or reason to upgrade my star rating.Update 07/12/2017 I'm adding a couple of photos of the peeling area.Update 09/01/2017 It has now been over six weeks since I wrote to Mac Motion Chairs requesting information on what material is used in the manufacture of this set and to give them the opportunity to restore some good will and customer satisfaction via a repair or replacement. I have not received a response. Therefore I am reducing my initial two-star rating to one star. As before, I will update again here if I eventually receive a response from them.

Great quality, but may not be comfortable for everyone
I've had this for over a month now. It's very sturdy, especially for a swivel chair, which usually depends on a central post. This chair has a very sturdy design, the hefty wood arms support the weight onto the hefty wood lazy susan that's full width of the chair. It's heavy, but I expect it will last a lifetime.Assembly: It was really well-packaged; unpacking may be the toughest part of assembly. Hardware is on shrink-wrapped sheet with part nos. and labels, so assembly directions are clear. The ottoman was the hardest, because the bolt holes in the curved wood didn't align well with the threaded inserts in the flat top.Comfort: I'm 5-10 and 250 lbs. If I was any shorter, getting up would be quite difficult, because the front edge of the seat is so high, and my feet wouldn't touch the ground until I start to push myself out. The cushioning is firm, so a lighter person might feel it's too firm. Back support is very comfortable. Neck support could be better, but they offer a cervical pillow, but I'm making do with a small throw pillow. I would like it better if it reclined a little more.

MUSHROOM not cream!
It's ugly, no directions. However it's the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. It feels like a dentist chair. WHY CANT THEY BE HONEST ABOUT THE COLOR?. Probably save on dozens of returns.

Nice chair for the price
Supportive foam, nice quality leather and craftsmanship. I like the locking fray to prevent rocking when an elderly family needs to use it. Fits a smaller location and has a nice Scandinavian style

Color not true to ad
Well color is not true to ad, truly. It's more tan than creamy. So cobblestone might be a bit misleading. Recliner adjustment not adequate for sitting but merely almost total reclining position. Sitting position requires a pillow which negates the lumbar support feature. Totally disappointed in this item not being true to description, however quality seems good so far. Having never returned an item, had it been feasible, I'd have returned this item for a total refund. So sorry.
