Unlimited Activator, Reusable General Purpose Battery or Power Pack (Enhanced) by LiiHot

I ordered this to replace the obnoxious Neutrogena activator that only has 30 uses. I ordered the upgraded model which is a little rectangular white plastic box that fully encloses the batteries. It also included a USB to female connector that is compatible with the male connector coming from the mask. The male mask connector connects into this cord and the USB end connects into the battery pack or into a USB charger. (I used our phone USB charger.) With batteries, the battery pack is smaller and lighter than the Neutrogena Activator. It is well built and securely encloses and protects the batteries. You can use regular batteries or you can use rechargeable batteries. Note that batteries are not included with this: you must supply your own. Because there is no auto-off programming, you need to time your exposure. It's simple: you just turn it off when you self-set timer rings. The brightness of the LED lights seems brighter with this system than with the Neutrogena Activator. It might be a result of different batteries. Regardless if you run it directly from a USB charger or if you use batteries, they definitely are brighter. It didn't bother me and I felt this is a plus. I'm very happy with this, and I hope it holds up. Both my son and I like the Neutrogena mask. But the need to replace the activator is extremely wasteful and annoying. This was a great option to not be held to purchasing an activator every 2 weeks.

I wasn't sure if this would work but it did! My son and I both use the Neutrogena light mask. This gives us unlimited usage which saves me so much money. I am so thankful for this device. Although it is not timed out for 10 minute usage, it does not pose any issues as you can set a timer on your phone or Alexa. I have had it over a year and have not had any issues.

*** UPDATE ***The seller reached out after I left my old review and offered me a replacement. These guys have amazing customer service and even followed up to make sure I had received the replacement and was happy with it.The replacement unit does exactly what it says on the box. The lid feels a bit tight when putting the batteries in, but since then I haven't had to change them and I use this 3-4 times a week. So battery life is great.I have not tried running it off of an alternative USB power source, so I can't say whether that works as well. But overall, this works and has saved me a lot of money as opposed to buying the official limited use activators. Highly recommend it if you are considering it!******* ORIGINAL REVIEW ***Didn't work at all.1. The battery compartment is extremely hard to close and it feels like the plastic is about to snap.2. Once I finally got the batteries in, I found out the on/off switch didn't work.3. I tried using it via a USB plug and that didn't work either. So the adapter is broken too.There isn't a single part of this thing that works. Considering how the description goes on about not creating waste, I'm pretty disappointed that this is basically trash.

I like the idea of not having to keep purchasing activators, had it for a couple weeks not problems as of yet. Battery and USB operating feature, love it!

I have plenty of battery powerbanks lying around so getting the enhanced version was worth it for me since it has the USB cable. And it works great.I didn't feel like hacking the OEM control unit for unlimited use, furthermore rather use my battery bank than recharging AA batteries. And I didn't really search deep for just a USB cable adapter (since that's all i really need), but the price is kind of high for what you get; just a battery enclosure (probably 2-5 bucks) and a USB cable adapter (probably 1-2 buck at most). BUT when you compare it to the OEM power control unit, unlimited use and no time limits and no need to modify anything, it is probably worth the initial investment.debating whether it should be 4 or 5 stars due to trying it once. After 30 uses wtihout problems I'll change it to 5 stars if no problems.

I'd like to know not only if LiiHot has a quality control department but whether Amazon does before they allow the manufacturer of such garbage to sell their products on this site. I couldn't tell you if the stupid thing works or not, because after struggling and struggling and finally getting the battery compartment to open, I have yet to be able to get it to close again once the batteries are inside. I even removed the batteries again and put them back to be sure I had them in the right way. Yes, I did, and still the I can't get it to close again. Who has the time for this? Save yourself the aggravation. It's a good idea, but it needs to go back to product development.

UPDATE: Company offered a replacement. The owner was so easy to work with and understanding. The replacement was shipped quickly and arrived undamaged. It works perfectly. So satisfied with this purchase. So happy with the advanced version.************I really wanted to like this product. I bought the advanced version. I put the batteries in right away, plugged in the usb adapter and my mask.......then nothing. The green light turns on so I know it was getting power. Still nothing. Then i played a bit with the connection with the mask plug and the products cord and if i tilt it to the side a bit ,my mask will turn on. If i hold the cord so the metal sides will touch it will stay on but thats not really relaxing. I tried the mask again with the activator from neutrogena and it worked just fine. I wish I got the basic version instead now since there doesnt seem to be any bad reviews from that version.
