最初は少しインクが途切れたり、かすれたりすることがありましたが、一週間ほど使い続けるとそれもなくなり、スムーズに書けるようになりました。ペン先は柔らかく、筆圧や速度の変化によって濃淡が自然に生まれます。大型のペン先がもたらす書き心地は、まさに比類なきもの。筆を走らせるたびに、その時の感情がそのまま紙の上に映し出されるようで、自由に、時には抑えながら、まるで紙の上で踊っているかのような感覚になります。静かな時間に、一人この筆と向き合うひとときは、何ものにも代えがたい贅沢。これからもずっと、私の人生に寄り添ってくれる一本です。

垂直でもスラスラ書ける。寝かせると滑るように細いままの線が書ける。書記角度がシビアな他の万年筆とは別の筆記具とすら感じる。 ボールペン使いが、万年筆を使うと滑らかに書けるペン角度が寝ていることに戸惑い、ペンの持ち方を矯正してようやく使える。フォルカンなどは特にシビアで特定の角度でなければまともな線が引けない。 ウェーバリーは垂直でもスラスラ書ける。どんな角度でも書ける。どの方向にペンを動かしてもスラスラ書ける。ボールペンと同じようにペンを動かしてもスラスラ書けるウェーバリーは、万年筆が初めての人に最適なペンです。 反面ペン先は硬いので、柔らかいニブやフォルカン、エラボーなどの特殊ペン先のような線の変化は出しにくいですが、寝かせても書けるボールペンのような書き心地です。ボールンより抵抗なく筆圧ゼロで書けます。

The posting nib on the Custom 743 writes an extra fine line, but is smoother and more easily controlled that the regular extra fine nib. Very pleased with this purchase.

ペン先ＦＡ（フォルカン）を購入してみました。ニブが柔らかくバネみたいにしなるので、普通のペン先とは別の書き味があります。カリグラフィーとも違った面白い書き味です。インクとして、パイロットの「イロシズクの天色（アマイロ）」、若しくはペリカンの「ターコイズ」を入れて使っていますが、少し滲むのが難点です。胴軸の材質がツルツルしていて非常に良く、高級感があります。これぞ万年筆といった王道の造りです。

The pen is not so different by a Pilot Custom 742, but FA nibs are completely different upon their length: the shorter #10 on the 742 has an F-FM starting size and is a real super-flexible nib, very delicate, to use with a feather hand; this #15 is longer, starts EF and is a bit harder to flex, definitely better for those who don’t have experience. It’s more like a soft nib, but with a great snapback which closes steadily to EF the point. It is also definitely better handling the ink feeding, I have found no railroading problem.For calligraphic use, #15 can do Copperplate but is a Spencerian masterpiece, viceversa for the #10.Both nibs are wonderful, as in Pilot style.#15 can be mounted on both Custom 823 and Custom 845 Urushi (I have it now on my 823 for huge ink capacity).

Loving old school fountain pens and thoughtful and elegant writing, I wanted to try this pen which, unlike others, has an elasticity with quick return, requires a more decisive use of the hand, perhaps not exactly suitable for beginners, but an advisable object for those he already has experience and wants to improve his handwriting, and then return to truly flexible fountain pens. However, an excellent purchasing experience, although in the first few weeks of use I struggled to find the right ink and a regular flow. For this reason I do not recommend it to novices.
