Q: What is an upcycled strawberry?

Upcycled strawberries are strawberries that are unfit for sale as is usually because they are broken, bruised or misshapened. So instead of dumping them or using them for animal feed some manufacturers choose to use them as ingredients in foods for human consumption.

Q: have your fruits been sprayed with chemicals?

Chia Smash is non-GMO project verified and sources imperfect fruit (misshapen, too big or small, crumbles, etc) that doesn’t make the cut for fresh fruit at the grocery stores. With that, the fruit comes from various sources and countries of origin but mostly from California and the Pacific Northwest. It is sometimes organic fruit but not always. It is always non-GMO.
