Surprisingly effective!
Took a punt on this hearing aid as my mum is waiting for NHS hearing aids. We're amazed how good they are. She can hear better and is wearing them quite often. It's important to have it fit snuggly in the ear, if not any sounds leaking from the part that fits in the ear can leak, be picked up by the microphone and cause whistling. She won't be using them in a busy environment with lots of noise because it does pick up background noise. It has 2 batteries and three different sizes of ear buds. Excellent value and very good if there isn't a lot of background noise. My mum only has mild ear loss so that's perhaps why she gets on with them.

Does what I need
Surprisingly good for the price. Quite large, but people can't miss the fact you are hard of hearing and speak clearly to you. I bought this to keep in my motorcycle jacket pocket so when helmet removed I can quickly fit it. Slight hissing noise at higher volume levels, and not to be confused with prescription aids.Excellent value, does what I need.

Not good for waxed blocked ears.
Not a great product. I bought it because my ears get waxed blocked and I was struggling to hear clearly. I thought this device would help.It worked much better in my better ear and the sound quality is like listening to 1940s microphone. It is also a right sided ear piece and I needed a left. But it will fit.I am not overly pleased as it was £20 but... it might help if you're a little hard of hearing. It's very loud .Does not have T position.Comes with 2 batteries and 3 different ear plugs.

It’s great. Works as intended.
I’ve been deaf in one ear for years and finally hearing in my other ear was become untenable so I went to a well known high street provider of audio/visual solutions.TLDR: they mucked me about for over 18 months and wouldn’t give me a hearing aid because they had to balance it with my deaf ear !!!! (no, me neither) I almost begged them for just a basic hearing aid because my hearing loss was dramatically impinging on everything. In desperation I thought I’d try a personally sourced solution and bought this. It’s GREAT.I have my hearing back and for less than £20Sure it’s not super high tech, Bluetooth enabled and space age sleek but it works really well, saved me hundreds/thousands of pounds and more importantly opened my eyes to that annoying specs shop being unfit for purpose.

Rubbish
This without doubt is the biggest piece of rubbish I have ever bought from AmazonThis should be sued under the trades description law.It is completely unacceptable to buy something as bad as this. The sound, when it works, is like being inside a biscuit tin. Then there's the screeching feedback.Absolutely a joke even at that price

Good stop-gap in lieu of a bespoke hearing aid
PROS- great value- ease of operationCONS- none really, but be aware it's simply a basic amplifier (a volume wheel goes from 1 - 6), not a custom hearing aid geared to your individual needs. (Best to go for a professional hearing test for that).I bought it for my 93-year old mum who refused to go for a hearing test, and didn't see the value of getting a much more expensive tailor-made device on the NHS! It's a good stepping-stone, just to get her used to wearing a device before she agrees to an individually-tailored aid.RECOMMENDED AS A SIMPLE STOP-GAP.

Great little device but difficult to find the correct batteries
Bought this for my mother. She is happy with it, but after the battery ran out it has been really difficult to find the right replacement ones. The product description states LR44 which are the incorrect size. On the same product page it states PR48 so going to order them now to see if they fit. Please update the product page to show the correct replacement batteries!!

Good sound.
Right I have 2 hearing aids, I lost my left ear hearing aid and face a couple of months wait fro a new hearing test etc, before I can get a new one. I was looking for a cheap replacement and saw this on Amazon, so decided to give it a try and I must say it is quite good, up to the standard of my NHS one I would say, it has adjustable volume and I feel worth the money, appears to be quite durable, if not a good look as it is more obvious than my NHS one and is bigger, but I can hear and I am not bothered on the look of it. As I wear the 2 hearing aids daily I will advise on the durability.
