Great Instructions
These seeds took a while to get to me, but I feel sure it will be worth the wait. We have a couple of ponds in the back yard and beyond them, a real 40 acre lake, here in FL. The previous owners had some water plants they left for us, but I want to have more. I will be waiting to begin this endeavor until after a trip next week. You need to change water in the pots twice a day in the beginning and later stage, water needs changing every 3 - 5 days. So make sure you will be home for a while to get these started out on the right foot. I also need to procure the proper bowls size wise. These will be eventually floating in ponds or by the lake shore. Can't wait to get started. And very, very happy to have such excellent instructions. In a few months, if I remember, I hope to add an update of how these all developed.

Fast Germination but Careful Preparation Required
We ordered these lotus seeds by EquSym with the hope for lilies or lotus in our backyard pond here in Florida. Knowing that lotus flowers and lilies are tropical, we were optimistic that we could get them to grow here. The ten seed types come neatly packaged in the box in their own individual packets along with a picture of the lily or lotus on the front for helpful identification. In addition to the seeds, there is a detailed instructional card included that gives you all of the information you need to get started. It’s important to read the instructions carefully and do additional online research if needed. Germination does require some careful attention and dedication as the seeds require regular water changes to make sure they stay viable. We decided to try one of each seed at first to see if we could get them to germinate. Following the instructions to scarify the seed to soften it first, we then she put each of the individual 10 seeds in its own plastic pot with enough water to keep it warmed by the sun (but not too hot). Eight days in, we were happy to see that more than half of the seeds have sprouted. Time will tell how the remaining seeds do but we're hoping to get some insights into their success rate from these initial tests. Once again, following the instructions, when the tubers are ready to be planted in soil we'll transfer them to shallow (but wide) pots before putting them in the pond, to make sure they aren't exposed to any turbulent water. I'll update our review but for now, these seeds are looking good! At around $22 for these 10 varieties with 20 seeds of each, we give these 5 stars.

Not Rooting
Although I have followed the instructions meticulously, these seeds have yet to start sending out roots. The instructions say that they should start rooting in 5-7 days, but it's been10 days.

Great Germination - Resealable Package
These seeds don't come with the ends pre-cut, so you do have to cut the end down, but that's expected. I also like the resealable package. This allows the seeds to remain viable for a longer period of time, in my opinion. I tried ten seeds and nine of them germinated, so that's a great average. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

3 out of 4 seeds sprout success rate is good
This package has 10 different varieties and I tried them all, and it's been over a week with great success rate, not 100% but at least 3 out of 4 which I think is good. I got this for intention for my koi pond and some in water planter with solar water fountain. I followed the direction giving, soaked in warm water for a few hours and put in regular ambient temperature water and within days I can see it germinated, pretty fast actually. I tried all 10 different varieties, 4 of each and most success rate at 3 out of 4, some with 4 out of 4 and some 2 out of 4. I highly recommend this for all water plant people it will add nice looking small pond and even on water planter. I think it will died in frozen weather but if the root don't freeze then it will come back, since I live in the northeast will have frozen weather. Seeds germination from my own experience, you will never get 100%, even if 100% germinate, some will eventually grow weak and become deform or died.
