Q: I do illustrations (only) in black and white. Would the matte paper be good for making prints of these? Would you honestly recommend? thnx

Depends on the nature of the print, B&W vs. color, the type of printer used... The matte papers don't have as high a maximum black point as the gloss or luster papers. Ink jet printers with more levels of black ink will generally make more sharp, crisp prints, but at any rate, a higher degree of print sharpening will yield a sharper print with better contrast when using these papers... The quality of the paper itself and its longevity is great.
