The Thermopylae was an extreme composite clipper ship built in 1868 by Walter Hood & Co of Aberdeen to the design of Bernard Weymouth of London for the White Star Line of Aberdeen. This is a scale reproduction of the famous British tea clipper that seriously challenged the beauty and speed of the Cutty Sark in the great tea races of the mid 1800s. A plank on frame construction, the kit contains building plans with general details, English instructions, lost wax brass castings walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, laser etched details, rigging cord and silk flag. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy. Scale 1:124 Length 575mm

If you want to understand the very bad instructions learn Italian first
Very poor instructions and to add insult to injury they are all in Italian, if you sell to English speaking country's include instructions that people can read, I would expect to be able to read them properly without having to learn another language first, for £110 Very disappointed..

definitely not plug and play
The instructions are fine if you are Italian. They need translating if you are not.The kit promises to become a fine detailed replica if it ever gets completed.

good model
not easy but well worth it, in time and money. I found extra instructions in English on Mantua website useful
