Q: I don't understand the term granny. what is special about this fork? do i eat with it? what do i use it for? why does everyone love it?

It's a handy cooking fork. The name? Granny used to use a fork like it for cooking. It's better to test a half-cooked potato or turn over meat than the smaller, shorter-tined fork we eat with.

Q: The entire meat fork is 7 inches from fork tip to the end of the handle or just the handle is 7 inches and the fork part not included in measurement??

The total length of the fork is actually 7-7/8 inches. The exposed metal portion is 4 inches and the wood handle is 3-7/8 inches.

Q: Is this too big to use as a dinner Fork ?? I have big hands and a normal fork seems to dwarf in my hands .

I have the two tine, 10 inch fork and it wouldn't be too big, because its not much larger than a dinner fork. The wood handle does provide a good grip and the tines aren't too large. Hard to say if you'd like it as a dinner fork, but I don't think it would be too large.

Q: Does the handle wobble/rock like most Lamson products with two rivets?

No. The handle does NOT wobble/rock or feel poorly manufactured. It works as I hoped it would and I will buy another one if this fork does loosen or become wobbly.
