Great, but wrong canning jar size.
These net cups are very sturdy. They're capable of holding any appropriate medium amd can easily be trimmed to accommodate cloning collars. Though they fit normal/small mouth canning jars (with the ring on), not wide mouth jars as seen in the pics.

Solid, sturdy cups
These net cups are solid - very sturdy feeling with a think rim around the top. The fit perfectly in the small PB2 peanut butter jars I am using for my Kratky hydroponic garden. They also fit nicely in the smaller jars I am using, like the smaller olive and jalapeno jars you get from the store. They will be reusable as the plastic is nice and thick. Exactly what I needed.UPDATE: First round of lettuce and tomatoes grown in these cups. They are fantastic. Roots go right through and the cups are sturdy enough we will be able to use them over and over. Very happy with these and will order again.

Good for DIY cloners✌
I've been using these for a while now. I initially got them to use in a do-it-yourself cloner and also to use as net pots with hydroton in an aeroponic setup. I didn't really appreciate them until I bought some other net pots from a local store. When I tried to cut the bottoms off of the local ones a lot of them would break. It's also hard to cut the bottoms off because the part that's like a net the plastic is a lot wider. So even if you were going to use them as net pots the ones from the local store would be blocking more airflow and water spray. But the ones that I'm reviewing the plastic in The netting area is pretty thin yet thick enough to be durable. So it would allow for a good airflow and spraying in aeroponics. I found it very easy to make Clean Cuts with a razor knife to cut off the bottom how you would for a do-it-yourself cloner. The top part is thick plastic with a nice thick rim. I didn't have a single one of these break on me when I was cutting them down

Fits 2 inch hole saw holes.
Some 2 inch cups fall through the 2 inch holes drilled for home hydroponic set up. These have a lip that catches the cup and keep ir from falling through.

Worked well in my 3 Tower Gardens after cutting some of the rim off
I read in the reviews that these worked well in the Tower Garden. At first, when I saw how strong the plastic was, I thought I might not be able to trim part of the rim off, but using an original TG net pot as a guide, I cut two notches with my Dremel and a regular scissor did the rest! The only reason I did not give it 4 starts is because the company name is on the rim, and I'd prefer it wasn't. But it is not a big deal, they fit well in the tower and serve the purpose they are meant to. Much easier than cleaning used ones and the price is worth it!

Sturdy and good net cups
I just started using these for a DIY hydroponic planter and they are doing great. When starting seeds, you just want to make sure you have enough grow medium or the seeds will fall through but it’s not a big inconvenience.

Workhorse
I've been using these for hydroponics and they are an absolute workhorse. Very well made and durable. I just keep washing and reusing them with no problem

Great Product!
Use with my home made kratky boxes. Drill a 2" hole (hole saw) and the basket fits in perfectly. The lip is a must and helps position the basket very well. Very durable. I do cut some of the stringers off the bottom to help get the roots thru the bottom and this does NOT result in weakening the basket in any way. Very good product.
