I never had a memory foam pillow up until now, and obviously this one stood out to me since i could adjust the filling to my liking. Im very much a thin pillow type of person so i probably removed a little less than half of the foam and its nice imo. Firmness can 100% be adjusted to your own liking though!However I am gonna give it a bit though before i decide if i want to order more for family, see if it holds up. I roll a lot in my sleep + im a side sleeper so pillows flatten quickly for me. I think i got enough foam here to make a solid 2 more pillows though, im kinda glad they stuff it as much as they do + give extra foam, means people who need thicker pillows can do so! Just be sure to re-fluff the pillow really well when you add/remove any foam to evenly disperse it, and the extra foam will be clumpy in the bag, so be sure to shred it well as you add it!Cant speak much on the cooling effect though, it does get *really* cool but also heats up just as quick if you're laying on it long enough, makes it a bit uncomfortable and i find myself flipping it pretty often in the middle of the night, however my room is also the warmest in the house so its not entirely the pillows fault.The case washes fine, however i double pillow cased mine due to me having a dog.There are hard bits in the foam, and thats honestly completely fine imo, i had quite a few in my pillow and its not exactly making it worse to sleep on, pretty sure its normal. Also be sure to be careful with the foam as you handle it, it will get everywhere and you might need to pick up bits off the floor, so if you have a pet that tears up pillows, this may not be for you for the mess alone.

Favorite product brought from Amazon thus far. I got 2 to play around with. If I want to sleep on either side or directly in the middle of my bed. I love that it has extra filling. I don’t use any other pillow to sleep on but these. If I could give them a 10 I would. I never want to leave my bed, they’re so comfy. Just what I need lol.

Don't worry when it arrives in its small box. It will expand several times into the largest firmest pillow you can imagine. If you want a smaller softer pillow just unzip the internal case and dump out some of the foam into a bag (I removed almost half) and it's like a different pillow. If for some reason you want an even firmer pillow, they give you an extra bag of foam that you can stuff in. It has a comfortable quilt pillow case that you can remove and wash. You can even wash the internal pillow case by emptying out the foam. Since everything is washable there's no reason that this pillow will ever get yellow and gross looking.The two problems I have found are a slight but definite chemical odor even after ventilating it for several days. Also, the foam doesn't behave like memory foam I've found in other products because it doesn't retain its shape at all. I'm certain that this is just standard resilient foam that you find in carpet padding.

This pillow is semi-firm when filled completely with the "extra" foam allowed to adjust density. When it arrived, it took a moment (or 30 mins or so) for the pillow to "grow" to its full potential once it was outside of the tightly packed box it was in. But I would allow your pillow to adjust fully before stuffing it with extra foam unless you are sure that you have the right firmness for yourself and your preferences. Very glad I caught this pillow on sale!! Totally worth full price though. I want to get another. Oh and it stays cool throughout the night.

Smells like aweful fumes that burn your eyes. I’ve allowed it to air for days outside but still irratates eyes with heavy vapor.

I love the ability to add or take away the foam pieces. I removed 2 nights in a row and now the pillow is absolutely perfect!I have tried so many pillows and I have super narrow shoulders so my head was always too high! So, neck aches! So this pillow is only about 2” deep and I LOVE it. Its perfect.

I'm used to one solid piece of memory foam pillows, this is my first shredded foam pillow. I've been sleeping on this pillow for a few days now and I really like it. I like the ability to adjust the firmness, which is not possible with the one-piece foam pillows. The foam that's in the pillow is already too much and I had to remove almost 1/3. Combined with the extra bag of foam, I can probably make another pillow!
