If you are an Instinct guy this one is for you.
I had the Garmin Instinct version one for probably 4 or 5 years. Had the opportunity to try an Apple Watch and decided it wasn't for me. Decided to upgrade to this watch and I really like it. It's simple but has a lot of features. I enjoy the color screen, flashlight, and watch face adjustments. Battery lasts almost a week, which is a big plus compared to other smart watches. If you are a normal working dude who wants a high functioning tough watch this one is for you. I have probably a dozen friends who have switched to the instinct over the years.

Love this watch
Excellent watch. Much more durable than my previous watch with nice features. Great fit for my wrist. Enjoy the functions like heart monitoring, step tracking, customize workouts, and ect. Best bang for my buck and only issue I have is that I don’t purchase this watch sooner.

I couldn’t be happier
The media could not be loaded. I know there’s been a lot of debate around the Instinct 3 — from the lack of maps to the price, and how it stacks up against other models with more advanced features. But personally, I’ve always been a fan of the Instinct 2X Solar — mostly for the rugged looks and the flashlight. I didn’t really mind the monochromatic display, but I always wished for a color one. So the Instinct 3’s color screen was a big win for me.Even without solar charging, the battery life is impressive. Garmin claims 18 days in smartwatch mode, and I’ve been getting around 10–12 days with regular workouts and activities — still very solid.Comfort-wise, I actually found it more wearable than the 2X. It feels lighter, and the 45mm size looks just right on my wrist. I work in construction, so knocking the watch against things is pretty common. I’ve read the screen is tough (and it is), but I still put on a screen protector just in case. That said, it’s taken a few hits and still looks great. The watch faces are fun to mess with, and all the functions are genuinely useful. I use the flashlight almost every night, and the weather + barometer have come in handy on the job. Now, this isn’t the right smartwatch for everyone. I’d definitely recommend doing some research first. For example, I don’t miss the touchscreen at all — in fact, I’ve grown to love the button navigation. I barely need to look at the watch anymore; my muscle memory takes me right where I need to go. The customizable hotkey combos are also a nice touch. One last tip: be sure to get the right size. The 45mm fits me perfectly, but I totally get why someone might prefer the bigger screen on the larger models.

Great watch worth the price
Great watch, big upgrade from my Apple series 7, so I miss a couple of things but there so small I am not even going to list them, I love the fact that I can just glance at the screen and see everything right there, wish I upgraded sooner, built in maps would be nice but not a deal breaker for me

"Blue Triangle of Death" from day 1
Don't waste your time, opened the box, put on a full charge because it was dead and it's been in a blue triangle of death loop from day 1. Apparently it's a common issue that Garmin does not have an actual fix too from what I researched.

No more fruity watches. Time to get something that works.
I was on the fence about purchasing a new sport watch. I’ve been using a certain fruit themed brand for years and never really satisfied with a lot of how metrics were measured or displayed.Garmin has a lot friendlier interface. More information that I want access to at a glance is available without having to use third party apps that bug out every update. My main problem was deciding what garmin to get. I had concerns between amoled screen and sapphire solar and the instinct 3 v new fenix. I chose the instinct because I’m not doing a lot of thru hiking in super remote areas and I went with amoled because I wanted to ensure the screen was always easy to read at a glance in whatever lighting. I may purchase a fenix someday but I will always own a garmin of some kind because of this watch. I love it.

Great watch
Love it. 10x better than the fruit brand watches. Had it on for a whole week. Still at 85% battery life. Also seems to be more accurate.
