it's hard to know that your thermal paste is good or bad unless it has failed catastrophically. no catastrophe so far, so i guess it's good?

I have a few thermal pastes of the same type of viscosity and makeup. This is not high quality paste that you would find in a gaming computer.It's too thick and two viscous.

I am upgrading a backup server with TrueNas Scale. This server has a Xeon E3-1230 V6 CPU with CPU fan. So far my CPU temperatures are maintaining at 40 degrees Celsius with this thermal paste. This is an excellent temperature value for this CPU. While the paste is only one piece of the puzzle to keep the CPU cool, it clearly is not preventing me from getting excellent thermal transfer. For my needs on this server, I am happy with how this paste is performing.

As this is a brand-new product, I cannot find any reviews anywhere for it. Nobody has tested it and reported their findings, so I suggest you stick with known paste from competitors until that occurs.The third-party seller — which offers no other products on Amazon — is being disingenuous by sticking “Amazon Recommended” into the description, which it isn't as far as I can tell, since there are no reviews for it yet.Leave this one on the shelf and buy something with a solid track record. The box comes with a plastic syringe to apply the thermal paste, a small spatula, and small packet of grease cleaner. The paste has smooth consistency and easy to spread around with the spatula. The paste looks like most pastes and should work fine with most applications like CPUs and GPUs.

I was always taught to put a rice grain sized drop in the center of the cpu and then put on the heatsink.Well Some pastes have specifically asked to be spread around. This paste comes with a little spatula, a degreaser wipe, and a small brush to clean away dust or old dry grease dibris.Its a nice package.The grease seems to be working so far on my backup old pc I built from parts I had laying around. Keeps my Ryzen 7 2600x with a stock cooler at cool enough temps. Right now, as iI type this on said computer, its running between 43 and 47C.Good stuff.

While it was a little thick, I'm confident there was good adhesion and spread of the thermal solution between the processor and the heatsink on my PC. I'd get this again if ever needed!

I switched out my air cooler for a water cooler on an old computer and it seems to be a standard paste. I followed their instructions to spread it vs the usual rice grain size and it seems to work ok. The temps are slightly lower but that could be because of the water cooler. First impressions are not impressed.
