Extremely sharp
The first thing I noticed is how sharp it is, I think this is the sharpest knife I own and definitely the sharpest out of box, the handle is very light with a different material that I am not familiar with, overall solid build and as stated is as described and pictured. The only thing that I am hoping will change with use is I can't get it to flip open and lock up with the thumb hole or trying to front flip it, it does flip open with the button as it should..as long as the blade is truly m390 then it's worth the money,if it isn't then it's not worth the cost..hope this helps others... 🙏🏼

Very interesting knife
Another winner from Hightron / Hot knives with that thin blade stock and M390. I first thought the combination with FRN handles was odd, and the scales are quite thick. But when I started using it, it is surprisingly ergonomic with a dropped edge that allows it to be used lilke a kitchen knife, is very light and WOW - the button lock action is amazing ! My gripes were that the blade shape is maybe a little too wild and the tang has no jimping for front flipping. I used a Dremel tool to cut a couple of small notches intio the tang and it front flips very well now. Otherwise, this is very good value for money and a really useful knife. I'm glad I took the plunge to try this one.

Great Value for Money
The quality of this knife exceeded my expectations! The M390 blade stays sharp for a long time, and the handle is both stylish and functional. The button lock operates smoothly and is very secure. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a reliable knife!

Great Steel – Suboptimal Blade Shape
I own multiple Hightron/HotKnifes knives, and really love their design, operation and value. This is my first Hightron product review with critical feedback. On the positive side, the selection of M390 steel was a step up from the already good 14C28N steel in their “Sharplyn” and “Pocket Folding” models. On the critical side, the oddly shape blade results in a “hook” protruding from the scales (handle) when closed. This “hook” is on the opposite end as the pocket clip – meaning it is the end which gets inserted first into your pocket. This hook is so wide, it prevents the knife from fitting into dedicated slim “knife pockets” on some pants, meaning I must use the regular front slant pocket. The hook gets caught on the pocket edges when trying to put the blade away. While the blade has a nicely curved belly (it is most definitely NOT a sheepsfoot blade shape), the clip point has an extra drop near the tip, in a semi tanto or spear-point look. In my opinion, this detracts from the graceful looks of the otherwise clip-point (Bowie stye) blade. Your opinion and gas milage may vary.Another slight detraction is the push-button locking mechanism is not ambidextrous, like the axis locks used on Hightron’s “Sharplyn” and “Pocket Folding” models. I am right-handed, so this isn’t an issue for me, but my best friend is a “lefty” and this knife isn’t as natural for him to use as it is for me.In summary – the selection of M390 was a great choice – but the blade shape is more for looks than utility.

A Great Companion for Outdoor Activities
This knife is a must-have for my outdoor adventures! The M390 blade stays sharp even in wet conditions, and the non-slip handle gives me peace of mind during use. Whether camping or fishing, it performs exceptionally well.

Fantastic Buy!
The first thing I do upon unboxing a knife, and after careful examination, is sharpen it. An exception would be if the knife were exceptionally sharp out of the box. This knife is exceptionally sharp, although I will be stropping it before use. The blade grind and bevels look perfect to me.M390 is an awesome knife steel, and this blade is marked "M390/HK04." HK04 is Hightron's model number for this knife. M390 is a martensitic stainless steel, and it is magnetic. A magnet does stick to this blade. M390 is known for its wearability, which means it holds an edge; sharpen it and use it, and it stays sharp much longer than other steels. I love the sheepsfoot blade style.Otherwise, the nylon handle is nice, comfortable, easy to grip, and seems like it will have great durability. It is a tiny bit small for my hands, but it's not a big knife and the handle is proportional. The opening/closing action is very smooth, and the button lock does its job. I am concerned, however, on how easy it is to press and release the blade. This ease is great when flipping the blade open, and fast-flip it does, but I don't want to inadvertently touch the button and have the blade unlock while I'm using the knife. I'd prefer to have more confidence that a locking blade will stay locked. The button is spring loaded, and maybe it could be a little stiffer? All measurements given in the product listing are spot on. Of my collection of knives of similar size and function, this knife is most definitely the lightest at only 74 grams; like a feather in my pocket.I think this knife is a great buy @ $80. Many M390 blades go for double, or triple, that. I'm thrilled to own this knife.Edit: while googling today I noticed that a sheepsfoot style blade is NOT what this blade is shaped like. My bad! I still do love the looks of this blade, however. And, as another reviewer noted, and I agree, it's the looks of the blade, not it's utility, that I find attractive.

Cheap Built Quality for Price
The build here feels very cheap. This makes the value seem pretty low, definitely overcharging by a lot for this when I got it. Lockability works, it is sharp and easy to open but the casing for the knife just seems cheap and junky. Would not recommend.

Sharp, light, but one thing I don't like
I really wanted to rate this as 5 stars because I love the size and sharpness of the blade. I've been carrying it for a few weeks and use it for everything including cutting boxes and paper and plastic. It's holding up great. The negative - and only negative - is if you are sliding in to a pocket and clipping to the edge of the pocket, the end opposite the clip may snag on the pants due to the hook that the folded blade creates on that end. If you look at the pic of the closed knife, this is apparent. It doesn't always hook and I'm starting to adjust how I go about sliding it to adapt to the hook. It was definitely frustrating at first.
