Mismarked or out of tolerance (300%?)
I ordered 2x 0.5 ohms 50W resistors. Originally I calculated that I needed 0.5 ohms in my application. When installed the results were not as expected. I connected both in parallel to increase the voltage drop and it was close but not what I was looking for. I measured the combination and measured 1.1 Ohms. Individually, they were 2.0 and 2.2 Ohms respectively. Definitely not what I thought I ordered and 300% over tolerance from the component's markings. I am running into more and more mismarked components or components which have been rejected by the original manufacturer. Will see how this vender responds.
