This little solid state power supply makes a difference for sure, especially powering a device that can run off of usb bus power like TOPPING’s E2x2 - it is extremely solid and noise/ground loop free with this power supply and balanced outboard gear. If you’re recording commercially and need a small setup somewhere that won’t hold you back - E2x2 powered by this, external API or Neve style pres etc - ADC conversion is top notch on paper and in practice. For electric guitar and bass guitar, running into a Neve RNDIS > WA412 > FRM RNC 1773 > E2x2 powered by the P50 here = cleanest and thickest bass and guitar signals ever. Cables from WBC (Worlds Best Cables) are the top notch. I use Mogami Gold, and they make those to spec with the same mogami cable, Nutrik connectors, and high quality soldering for half the price of a Mogami assembled cable. In short runs, I’ve found 3foot Cable Matters cables do a good job for patching as well.All this to say, the P50 is an excellent solid state power supply for your TOPPING gear - and any gear that does not exceed or fall under the specs of the 5v 1a USB outs or the 15v 1a output. A lot of other units out there require more juice than 1a, but TOPPING makes top notch use of this power!

Works well. But unit has a 15 vac out and a 5vdc out. Most small systems are 5 or 12v

This is an excellent little linear power supply. It pairs perfectly with the A50/D50 combo and comes with all necessary cables out the box. Set the correct wall outlet voltage, plug in your cables, and flip the switch. It's really quite simple to use and cleaned up my power cables. The first thing I noticed was how much louder things sounded having switched to this and not touching any volume settings.

...and the windshield seems nice and clear. Then your copilot asks you to run the windshield washer, you do, and when done, wow it really was dirty...not much, but it was.This power supply is the sonic equivalent of that windshield wash.My modest system, Wiim Mini, SMSL SU-1 DAC (both being powered by a battery pack's DC outputs) ,Fosi Audio bt20a pro with 48 volt 5 amp GaN power supply and with Sparkos SS 3602 op amps upgrade, going into a Polk PSW303 sub and Elac debut 2.0 5.2 bookshelf speakers sounded really nice, especially after speaker break in.Enter the Topping P50 and the entire range of frequency response became more defined. The slight bass muddiness that I blamed on the sub and I gave up trying to lose, suddenly was gone. The room details of Bill May's Live At COTA, became crystal clear. They were good but now were much more defined. Most of the things that were already very nice, lost that subtle haze and were noticeably better.Recommended if you are looking for a subtle, but noticeable improvement and your system includes 5v/1amp components.
