This is a very good product

Does traffic updates when connected with your phone 👍

As a Sat Nav it does what it is meant to do superbly. However the mounting bracket is a total PITA. If you want to 'fit and forget' it works fine - but if you ever want to remove it from the bracket to either use in another vehicle or just stash out of sight then good luck.Staying with the mounting bracket where you put it is severely limited due to the short swivel space available and after contacting TomTom not only isn't there a longer armed version they have no plans to create one.Overall brilliant, but the mounting issues are very limiting for my needs.

This is a review of the TomTom Truck Sat Nav GO Professional 2nd Generation model with a 6 inch touchscreen with UK maps plus included Europe maps with real-time traffic update information but mainly designed with truck, lorry, coach, bus driving professionals in mind. The overall build is what I would call the ‘usual Tom-Tom quality’ as in being robust and seemingly durable. Once switched on, it soon shows itself as being quick and responsive. It comes with a strong suction mounting pad that sits itself well on the windscreen with a decent length power cable that just plugs into a 12 volt socket as normal and that’s about it. Once sited and switched on its then a case of loading your own apps and locations as required. By using the menu you can devise your own custom routes to either include or exclude places and locations as required. The menu is user friendly and easy to use. However if you want live traffic updates, after the initial setting up its then by a monthly subscription service. I will admit I am not a ‘professional driver’ in the true sense but I do drive a mini coach for a local organisation on a rota system and so far this has proved itself so far with its clear voice directions being very adequate in a nice clear voice. If anything, I would have liked to have seen a storage case or wallet included considering the price of this unit but a minor niggle.
