To make it short-buy it now because it is the best option available....
Now First the positives then the negatives or thing's I'd add or change,First this is amazing for camping, especially for watching some horror movies out in the dark wood's, it's almost perfect and 1 of the only one's I've seen that you can take with you on a camping trip an still be able to power it without needing an expensive battrey bank that has AC outlets, or a car outlet to charge, witch most portable dvd player's need, so crazy they haven't switched over to usb charging yet, anyway yes you can power this with batteries, 8 semi expensive D cell battries, but at least while out in the wild or anywhere else you can watch something at night before sleep or whenever- or listen to music,It plays dvds easily an it has Bluetooth and the ability to watch Amazon fire stick or one of the other one's like roku,on a 2 day trip 1 set of 8 batteries lasted the whole time no problem, used energizer,The sound quality is awesome, can be loud especially in the woods at night, at one point I swore I heard the tent zipper being opened, but it was coming from a movie playing in the background, but the sound is definitely quality an seems to have good surround sound,The screen Quality is decent for something this size, not fuzzy or dull, the color's are very nice, an you can watch it from a ways back an still see thing's just fine,There is full control of the box on the box &It comes with a controller that can seem confusing at first, but just look at it and you will easily see what each button is for, the button layout just feels a bit different from most controller's now a day's, so some buttons that you are use to doing something like changing the volume might do something else, while the volume button is placed elsewhere on the remote, not really a bad thing, just different,The quality of the box overall feels great an just the fact you can take this anywhere an watch movies or stream stuff or listen to music as long as you have a ac outlet or even cooler & main selling point for me- batteries- is amazingly cool,Plus it works weather you have cell reception or not, that is one of the coolest part's, especially in today's world where everything is digital an you own less & less, but there is a few things I'd add or change to make it better,-It doesn't have a carrying case, maybe there is something out there that can be found that would fit it, but it would be cool if they offered a hardshell case maybe shock resistant that could keep it protected at a decent fair price, maybe even color match or have cool designs on them, that way you could protect an keep your awesome dvd boombox in good working shape,-Maybe add optional-sturdy adjustable legs, so you could raise it up an maybe angle it different ways, so that way you could place it anywhere an watch it from any angle,-Maybe add a blu-ray player to it, So that way you could watch even more types of movies besides just dvds, even tho watching dvds is awesome,-heck maybe even add the ability to stream or better yet, download games an let controller's connect to it, how awesome would that be, maybe that is asking for a bit much, still it would be cool,-Maybe Add more ways to charge/power it, mainly add the ability to power-charge it through USB, just in case you ran out of batteries maybe it could still be powered with a battery bank that doesn't cost a few hundred or thousand dollars, so maybe it could have a rechargeable battery that could be removed for the 8 d cell batteries, once the rechargeable one runs out of juice,-Just a side thing-but maybe add a way for the controller to be placed onto the boombox, it could clip on or something like that, but in a way where it wouldn't just be hanging out there, Or if a case is made, maybe add a holder for the remote, an any other accessories that come with it,-Screen mirroring from say your phone could be really cool, I see you can share audio from a Bluetooth device, and use usb sticks, but didn't test to see if the whole screen mirroring from a android would work, if not, it could be a really cool thing added to another future version,But if not it does have the reg plug ups in the back, that could allow for a separate cable that would go from the phone, to the box, and provide the audio/display/So that might be a work around if that was of interest, and it definitely would be for me, cause I often find myself watching YouTube,But all in all this is an amazing little gadget, definitely a must for camping, or traveling, or just to have for a just in case kind of deal, it is definitely worth it,If they add changes or make a new version seeing some of those idea's added would definitely make the boombox dvd player better, an I'd definitely pick it up, heck I got a mind to get another one for a just in case back up, cause with the way thing's are getting it might definitely come in handy.

We Need More of These Boomboxes
This has been the coolest boombox I've ever owned personally, or at least one of the best. I wish that there were a model of this that also plays blu-ray in addition, as well as digital antenna ATSC television receiver. If there ever is, I'm buying it in every color for my friends. This boombox is so good that it's the second one I bought because the first one was so good, I wanted a back-up just in case I break it accidentally. The remote actually works, the construction is study and not flimsy. The screen looks amazing. I bought rechargeable 'D' batteries because it takes 8 of them, but the battery life has lasted so long. The sound quality is pretty good, nothing exceptional, but it certainly doesn't sound bad. By boombox standards I'd give the sound 6 stars out of ten. If you think you want this product but worry it'll be a dud, I can tell you personally that it's not. If you collect cd's and dvd's like I do, this will more than satisfy you with playback quality as well as it's handiness. I'm so glad that Aiwa brand is still making high quality products.

FULL REVIEW - How To Use USB And More
This product really has no manual at all, so you will want to read this review, because I'll explain exactly what it can and cannot do, and how to make it work. (Pictures Included)This boombox is more for video than for audio, so if you want something more for audio, then look for something else. If it is video you want, then you'll want this, because it can play video from DVD, USB, and HDMI. The DVD and HDMI are easy enough for you to figure out, but the USB port has everyone confused, because the product gives wrong information about what file types can be played. The Audio Folder says it can play mp3, wma, wav, and more, but in fact, it can only play mp3, and wav, only. The Picture Folder says it can play jpeg, bmp, and more, but in fact, it can only play jpg, only. The Video Folder says it can play mpeg2, mp4, avi, divx and more, but in fact, it can only play swf, and vob, only.So because of a manual that doesn't explain anything important, and how the product lied about what it can do, I cannot give this product 5 stars. I still gave it a high rating though, because vob video files are easy to make and they have DVD quality while also having the smallest memory. The vob files can be any length. They can be full length movies if you want. For a detailed list of what does and does not work with the USB port, see my attached pictures where I typed it up as a list. The bass button doesn't work, so don't expect that button to do anything. This does have an FM option, but the dial knob is too small for it to work like it should.See attached pictures for how the short USB extension cable looks. I highly suggest getting one of those cables so you don't have to worry about the carry handle breaking a USB stick. So how do you use this thing?Step One: Press the Power button on top.Step Two: Make sure volume is up and press the Source button(It will go through your options, Aux, FM, DVD)Step Three: Stop at DVDStep Four: Press the DVD button(It will go through your options, DVD, USB, HDMI)Step Five: Stop at USBStep Six: Use the remote controlNOTE: You can turn the screen off and on by pressing the Screen button. If the screen doesn't come on by itself, then you may have to press that button to turn it on.Can you use headphones? Yes, with the correct connections, but also limited in use. There is no headphone-out on this, but there is a left and right RCA-out on the back. So you could get an RCA audio-out to headphone jack connection, then a headphone splitter cable (so you can use more than one headphone), then a volume control cable (for each headphone to have their own volume control), then a splitter cable for headphone and microphone (if using headphones that combine the audio with the microphone, so only the audio is connected). However, the headphones hooked up like this, will only play audio from the DVD, USB, and HDMI inputs. Also, volume dial must be all the way down because the speakers will still put out audio as normal. Is there a carry case? Yes, this product is 17 L x 10 W x 7 H (Inches), so use these measurements when looking for a carry case. See attached pictures for what I used.Video quality? Looks great for most video, in the light and in the dark, but if you try to watch a movie on this where the movie is mostly filmed in the dark, then it won't be that visible, even after messing with all the screen settings to adjust the picture. I think the reason for that is mostly because the screen size is so small.Audio quality? Sounds great.Bluetooth? Yes and No. You can play music on this, using Bluetooth, but you cannot listen to music from it with Bluetooth headphones.HDMI? This is HDMI in only, so it can be used as a computer monitor (in case of an emergency, like if you have no other option for a computer monitor). If you do have any video games that use an HDMI connection for a video screen, then you can use this as a screen for video games also.
