Customer service is as good as the lithium!
Update: 3-15-25 I didn't notice customer service had contacted me twice after my review so this update would've been sooner had I responded. Once I did, there was no typical back and forth that is often the case when dealing with customer service depts. I only typed two words and they sent a replacement without wasting my time. This is how customer service should be and they deserve their own 5/5. Ordering batteries online can be risky and it's not easy to send them back so it's nice to know I can buy EBL with confidence at an affordable price. That said, I'm going to offer to pay EBL or if it was the seller for the replacements. The dents and the uneven button top wasn't wear from my controller which is good because it means they're not falling apart or too big. The dents at the top is on them all and simply how its manufactured. The uneven button isn't considered a defect by any manufacturer or by any standards, verified using Bing and Google's AI to find legitimate information. I just thought it looked crushed in from being in the controller but I'm glad I was wrong. I might have not said anything about it and just kept the replacements but the fact is I'm nowhere near the return window and they didn't have to reach out to me at all. The least I can do is admit I was wrong and pay for what I got. With that out of the way, you're reading reviews trying to find a good battery that don't cost a fortune, right? EBL checked all of my boxes and I can vouch for these lithium AAs and their Ni-MH AAAs. My quest 3 controllers were burning through my enloopes and thankfully, these lithium AAs can handle the power hungry Touch plus controller. All I hoped for was to reduce changing them as much and that's what I got. I can never go back to the Ni-MH enloopes I was using. To give you an idea of the difference, I used the EBL in the right handed controller that I use the most as the pointer. I put the enloope in the left controller so the disadvantage would be on the EBL because it is lithium after all. Even so, I went through about 2.5 eneloop charges before changing the EBL and considering the advantage eneloop had, I think that's great and I know this is a bad way to compare batteries, but I'm really just comparing how often I have to change the batteries, not lithium vs Ni-MH. I don't care what they are, I just don't want my game to be interrupted as much. If that's what you want, then give these a try, and I think you'll be as happy as I am. I also tried EBL16ct Ni-MH AAA w/charger that's turning out to be a solid purchase as well. I'll review them next.I don't expect to get eneloop's longevity out of these batteries and that's okay because they cost twice as much. Even so, one thing I realized with the AAAs is the more you have the less you charge each one. Since I'm getting like twice as many batteries and charging them less than the AAA eneloops that I charged twice as often, then in the end I'm not sure how it might turn out. If you thought I was going somewhere with that, so did I but now I'm not sure. I'll just have to wait and see. I'll update in a couple years or earlier if something goes wrong. If you're reading this two years from now, you're in luck! Otherwise, just order your batteries and move on. I spent way too much time on batteries when I should've been playing my quest. EBLs are great and if something goes wrong they'll fix it. What more can you ask for?OG review:The good: I use these for the meta quest 3 controllers so I can only compare them with AA Enloope. I know it's apples and oranges but all I know is I change out the batteries way less now which is what I was hoping for.The ugly: All was well until I removed the battery after using it for the first time. It took a beating close to a 1st round KO with visible wear to the body and an uneven button top. That's after one use! I checked the Enloopes that I've been using since the quest 2 and not a scratch on them. The build quality is poor but who knows, maybe they will still last a while. I'll update after I find out. For now, can't recommend.

Lithium ion batteries with a USBC plug
This four pack of rechargeable lithium ion AA batteries is as you would expect. They come with a charging cable that splits into four so all can be charged at the same time. I do find that plugging a USB cable in can be difficult. There's an integrated light to let you know the charging status. They can be charged with any other USB-C cable as well.

Convenience
Batteries are very convenient no need to run out to store for batteries in emergency situations.

These are the longest lasting I tested
I actually tested 8 different brands of USB-C rechargeable batteries for longevity under various loads. These have the best combination of cost and longevity. They have a bit of strange power curve in that, unlike other brands they drop off of 1.5V to something like 1.4V pretty quickly. But then they don't drop below 1.2V (the lower limit for most AA powered products to function correctly) for longer than the other brands. This doesn't present a problem since standard alkaline batteries also have an immediate and linear drop off from the "rated" 1.5V. These will outperform an alkaline battery down to 1.2V.

Works with other AA chargers
So far so good! Comes with a weird little dongle to charge them, but I have a AA charging block and it does charge them.

Ok for light use but run out very quickly
Bought them to use with outdoor motion camera, and they work out ok but run out within a few weeks where normal batteries usually last a few months. The last time I charged the batteries, one of them started to smell a bit like burnt electronics and has a constant green flashing light, so that will go in the trash

FIRE HAZARD DO NOT BUY THESE.
I've had these for just over a month and was charging for the second time when I smelled something burning. I checked the batteries and one was shooting flames out of the 2 little holes on the positive side. Luckily I was right there when it happened. My house could've have burned down. Or someone could have died. I am in contact with ESL right now trying to get these fire hazards out of circulation before somthing bad happens to someone. DO NOT BUY THESE.*UPDATE I contacted seller and gave them the batch number from the batteries. They were helpful in getting me a refund.
