My favorite hammer
Well balanced hammer. Third Vaughan hammer I’ve bought just to have in different applications

Great products, bad labeling
Another fantastic hammer from Vaughn, and another stupid "Made in America" shrink wrap label that leaves permanent discoloring all over the handle. The 23oz model I bought earlier this year had the same issue. A hammer's not the most precious tool out there, so it's not the end of the world. But it's a bummer to get a brand new product that's all marked up right from the start.Vaughn, *please* stop using these labels.

Well balanced and ergonomic
The balance of this thing is awesome. Between the balance and ergonomics of this hammer it easy to hit hard. I used it today to pound concrete anchors in and what took me 7-8 hits with my off balanced 20oz hammer this 19oz hammer takes 4-5 hits. I think the more I get used to it the less hit take.

Swing this, it HITS
First Framing hammer, 19oz seems the correct weight, not too heavy not too light, this hammer BANGS, didn't ship with the made in USA logo but that's zero issue as its just a plastic sleeve and will likely come off the first day of use,TIP: Wrap insulating tape just under the head for extra protection from a missed swing, if it's good enough to be on Larry Hauns Hammer it's good enough for mine,Excellent product

Best option for the money..
It’s not perfect but I’ll get as close as I can.I used the 19oz CA Framer for 16 years and it’s never failed me. Stairs, decks, remodels.Only down side was the waffle marks on finish work, My boss would always give me the thumb for that..Nowadays I’ve been doing more roofing and finish work, fascia..Gonna sharpen the claw and cut the handle off to put the 19oz ax handle on it, paint it black n yellow, and should be a gem till I pass it on to my kid.

harder to miss
this is a nice compact hammer with the larger head--easier to hit the nail with poor vision or fading skill and it has a nail starter if that works for you (me-not so much). longer handles are nice when using all the time, but i use a nail gun most of the time so that hammer handles banging into my knee gets old quick....
