My son seems to be going through a phase of taking things apart, losing pieces, and/or breaking pieces. This worked well as a replacement kaleidoscope... Not sure if it survived as I'm running across broken mirror parts... But he did love it for a bit.

Bought this as a project with our 9 year old granddaughter. It turned out great, fun activity to make and use. It’s very small: not nearly as large as a full sized assembled kaleidoscope.

Fun, great stocking stuffer. But also cheaply made.

This was extremely easy to assemble. My son loved it, he had never used a kaleidescope before. And great quality.

Used this kit in a school project, the students loved it. The kits were easy to put together, and functioned very well despite being made of very inexpensive materials. I added a few colored beads to the plastic shapes to enhance the effects, but it really isn't necessary.

I bought this at a better price at a local craft store. I got two of them and used them with a six-year-old girl and boy. The kits were easy enough for them to assemble themselves once I read the directions and showed them how to peel the film off the glass. I gave them a bunch of stickers to use to decorate the outside of the kaleidoscope. It kept them busy for about 40 minutes and they has lots of fun assembling, decorating and using them.For the $4 each that I paid for them, they were worth the money.

High quality kit, excellent for little kids science projects. The mirror surface quality is actually very good, and the images are very clear and sharp.
