PS5 Pro best console currently available
I’ve previously owned the original PS5 and now the PS5 Pro and can say in my opinion the upgrade is absolutely worth it. Paired with a 48” Philipps Ambilight OLED TV with VRR is a great experience with the pro. Elden Ring runs far better than on base PS5 with less stutter and a more consistent frame rate helped along by VRR. The quality difference in newer titles like Assassins Creed Shadows really demonstrates why this console is the best money can buy at the time of writing both in terms of graphical fidelity and power. It’s everything good about the original PS5 with more disk space and graphical horsepower. Missing a physical drive but for me this is a non-issue as all my games are digital. Overall, it’s a fantastic piece of gaming kit and paired with a good OLED VRR TV provides a top-tier gaming experience.

Got it used, it’s like new. Working like a charm for GT7!
Overall great upgrade for GT7 and VR. Only downside, it runs a bit hot compared to the fat PS5.

Worlds most powerful console, and it shows!
If you want a PS5 pro but your being hounded by grifters screaming that its £700 for some new graphics, ignore them and get one, this console is leagues above the rest that are out there, 2TB built in storage aswell, combine that with a 1TB M.2 drive and you'll have all the storage you'll ever need. The number of games are that "Pro Enhanced" just keeps rising and it really does feel like its the way the developers intended for their games to be experienced.

A true PS5 pro review.
Where do i start.....1st the bad.. it is clearly not worth the £700 price tag, i don't care what anyone says! There is no justification apart from Sonys cash grab tactics and customers saying we'll i can afford to pay it so I will! Then there's the fact there's no drive, what a mistake by Sony, I know every gaming company wants digital only games and this maybe sooo but they are short sighted and brain washed, they clearly can't see what a bad idea this will be for the future of gaming! Look at Netflix and all the other film subscription channels and imagine that but with games....more dictatorship and price hikes! Now the good stuff.....the image quality of this machine is superb, Xbox Series X eat your heart out, the extra power really shows up and delivers....should have been native 4k minimum for every game but hey its an improvement and an extra 1tb too. Oh and another downer is the PS4 turbo hairdrying sound is back.....come on Sony WTH! I paid £580.00 (Amazon warehouse) and thought that was worth it but I certainly wouldn't pay £700 not enough of a leap to warrant it!

Terrible Value, Sony Not Thinking
I bought this thinking it’ll give me a better gaming experience. NOT AT ALL. I have the original PS5 all digital, I compared them side by side as I have 1440p dual monitors set up, and I could not tell the difference at all. You really need a 4K OLED TV to see any difference for games labelled as ‘Pro enhanced games’. Using a 1440p monitor, there is no difference in quality at all, my 2020 PS5 was 3 seconds faster than the PS5 pro in loading Minecraft, but the PS5 Pro was 5 seconds faster loading Ghost of Tsushima. So for AAA games, £700 for 5 seconds faster? Stupid. For a casual / ordinary gamer, you will tell no difference. No disk drive or pro controller at that price? What are they actually selling? Don’t waste your time.

PS5 Pro – Worth Every Penny!
I’ll be honest, I was on the fence about spending £700 on the PS5 Pro, but now that I’ve made the upgrade, I can confidently say it was absolutely worth it. All of my reservations have been completely alleviated, and I’m blown away by the improvements over the standard PS5.First and foremost, the performance is phenomenal. The increased processing power means faster load times, smoother gameplay, and a noticeable boost in graphics quality. Games that looked great before now look absolutely stunning on the PS5 Pro. I’m talking about richer details, sharper textures, and better lighting effects that really immerse you in the experience. The upscaled 4K visuals are a game-changer, and I’ve noticed a major improvement in frame rates. Whether I’m playing fast-paced action games or open-world adventures, the PS5 Pro handles everything flawlessly. The new ray tracing enhancements add another level of realism that I didn’t even realize I was missing before. The upgraded cooling system is another standout feature. The console runs quieter and stays cooler, even when I’m gaming for extended hours. No more worrying about the system getting too hot or loud during intense gaming sessions. The design is sleek and modern, and the console feels incredibly sturdy. It fits seamlessly into my entertainment setup, and I love the subtle but noticeable differences in build quality that the Pro offers over the standard model. One of the biggest surprises for me was how future-proof the PS5 Pro feels. With the increased hardware capabilities, I know I’m set for the next few years of gaming without worrying about performance issues. It’s a solid investment that will keep delivering top-tier gaming experiences as new titles release. All in all, I’m incredibly satisfied with my purchase. The PS5 Pro has exceeded my expectations in every way, and I’m thrilled I decided to make the upgrade. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it—you won’t regret it.
