Survived the Highway—This Case Is Built Like a Tank
This Pelican case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the real deal. I left my phone on top of my car by accident, drove off, and watched it bounce down the road and get run over—more than once. I expected the worst, but my phone was completely fine. Not a scratch on the camera, and the screen protector stayed perfectly in place. The MagSafe is strong and works flawlessly, and the case itself is slim enough to stay out of the way but tough enough to take serious abuse. It’s Pelican—if you know the name, you know they don’t play when it comes to protection. Whether it’s gear, tools, guns, or your phone—Pelican keeps it safe.

Until they revamp design, do not buy
Very disappointed in this product. I have other pelican cases and they are absolutely amazing but this phone case misses the mark by so much it shouldn’t be in the same category as the cases. So quick back story, I bought one of these and had it for just about a month and started noticing that the buttons would click extra. Thought it was odd but didn’t notice anything until I removed the phone from the case. The bumper buttons inside the case to allow pressing the buttons on the phone to be easier. Are cheaply made plastic parts. The whole case is just poorly made. After that, I contacted pelican and their customer service was amazing and they got me a replacement case. Most of what was explained didn’t make much sense. One rep told me those parts are meant to be removed for cleaning but the parts are connected to the frame. Regardless, they sent me a new case. Sadly it’s been about another month and the same issue is happening. Already had one button fall out. So now this case is again, useless. I really wish for a 60 dollar case these were better. I mean I could have bought an otter box for the same money and wouldn’t be writing this review but wanted to give pelican a shot. Unfortunately, not happening again.

Best there is
I much prefer these over the OtterBox cases. These are much less bulky, but still provide very good protection for the phone. Having unfortunately dropped many a Phone over the years,These pelican cases hold up very well and have prevented quite a bit of damage to my phones. They’re easy enough to get on and off and don’t scratch or damage the phone while doing so they’re made of high-quality plastic and wow, a little pricey are still cheaper than the comparable OtterBox cases. So I will continue to purchase their products for my iPhones.

Lightweight and Durable
Very comfortable grip so I don’t constantly drop my phone. It’s lightweight and easy to put on the phone. Quality of the case is better than expected. The clear part doesn’t get yellow as some other clear cases do.

Well, built to take a beating and keep on working!
I accidentally dropped my phone out of a car doing 50 miles an hour taking a picture and it tumble down the roadway and the phone wasn’t even hurt. It did shuttle shutter my screen protector, but I had a really good screen protector and so it didn’t get hurt so pelican builds the best the very best Phone case cases and you should buy it if you’re worried about ever breaking your phone I love mine I wouldn’t have anything else!!

Poor Warranty Service
I bought this case thinking it would be a quality item like the Pelican cases I own. It is not! While the case is satisfactory the customer service has been horrible.I broke my belt clip and filed a claim and received an email they received it and would follow up. All I got was silence. I filed a second claim and finally received an email after a couple of weeks. I responded to this email and ask them to give me a call which I give them credit they contacted me. They advised me I needed to send a receipt for the purchase. After over a month I finally got the issue resolved and they are sending me a new holder after I had to pay the shipping to receive it.. I WILL GO BACK TO OTTER BOX FOR PHONE CARRIER AS I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM WARRANTING THEIR PRODUCT. They don’t require you to pay for the warranty product to be shipped to you!

Good case, but doesn't last long
I am a big fan of Pelican cases and have used them for many years to carry laptops, electronics, firearms, and more - I currently have five of them in my house and we have several at work. So when I got a new iPhone 16 Pro Max in November I was happy to see this great looking Pelican phone case to fit it. At $70 it was expensive - twice the price of my usual Otterbox Commuter case that I've put on my last half dozen work & personal phones - but I figured it was Pelican quality so it would last a long time and be worth it.The thing arrived and is a beautiful piece. It's a pretty significant case, looks great and seems to offer great protection. The carbon fiber panel on the back looks real too. Unfortunately it is a little slippery in the hand especially if you're sweating - it needs to be more tactile/offer better purchase somehow. Also more importantly it does not seem to be very tough? In just four months mine has a couple cracked plastic bits, plus the carbon fiber on the back is discolored and worn looking ONLY where my index finger goes when holding the phone up to my ear. The aforementioned Otterbox Commuter case for half the price would've lasted a lot longer - I have one on my work phone that is at least a year and a half old and is in way better shape than this four month old Pelican.Long story short it's a good case but is definitely not living up to the Pelican toughness I'm used to. I will not be ordering another one, I'm going back to Otterbox instead.UPDATE: they sent me a new one in February (3 months in) under warranty. I put it on the phone and now four months later it's doing the same thing - visible wear on the carbon fiber just from holding/using the phone. Back to Otterbox I guess. Pretty sad, Pelican used to be super high quality stuff...
