PACKAGING GETS 1 STAR =(
5 stars because I know the harm of less. 1 star for the DOO-DOO who put 5lbs of electronics into a heavy box without taping the lid. See photo of my first look at my "excellent condition" dock. =(That said, the unit appears new, has proper power cord and cable, and reached me 24hours after ordering.I'll update if it doesn't work and update my review. =D

Why does it have to be so big? (pause)
Took a few days to figure out why I couldn't get my 2 monitors to work through this surface dock connected to my surface business pro 6 laptop but through trial and error, realized that this doesn't not work with any HDMI to usb-c adaptors. I finally replaced them with proper HDMI to usb-c cables (not adaptors for HDMI to HDMI) and the monitors were visible.Giving only 4 stars because the power brick is so huge. Why does it have to be so big? (pause)

Quality product
Quality product that functions as advertised. Came quickly, well packaged and with multiple cords that I'm sure I'll probably never use.

Surface Dock PD9-00003: Practical Expansion for the Tech-Savvy User
I recently acquired the Microsoft Surface Dock PD9-00003 Bundle (Renewed) for my Surface Pro, && I have been thoroughly impressed by its refined design && utilitarian elegance. The dock features a streamlined, matte black exterior that exudes a sense of understated sophistication, seamlessly complementing any professional workspace. Remarkably weightless, the device is effortless to reposition or transport, contributing to its practical appeal. From a functional perspective, the dock excels. It provides a generous array of connectivity options, including multiple USB 3.0 ports, an audio output, an Ethernet port, && dual Mini DisplayPort outputs. This extensive selection allows me to connect a variety of peripherals && operate two 4K monitors simultaneously, all without any perceptible lag or complication. Installation is refreshingly intuitive; the plug-and-play nature of the device eliminates the need for cumbersome configuration or technical expertise.Notably, the dock is entirely devoid of any unpleasant odors, which can sometimes accompany refurbished electronics. The pricing is judicious, offering substantial value given the inclusion of a one-year warranty && the assurance that the product has successfully undergone Amazon’s rigorous renewed certification process. This process ensures the dock has been meticulously examined, cleaned, && tested to meet high standards of performance && reliability. In terms of build quality, the dock feels robust && well-constructed, instilling confidence in its longevity. I fully anticipate that it will endure regular, long-term use without issue. In summary, this renewed Surface Dock represents an excellent investment for those seeking to enhance their Surface Pro’s connectivity && functionality, all while benefitting from a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new hardware.Medium Miniature Size🟥Brightness💥

Swooped in to give new life to a dying Surface
After years of postponing the inevitable, I *really* needed a fresh charger for my aging Surface Book 2. This solved both that issue and my longstanding port problem just fine, with a dock I’d always heard good things about back in the day.Construction is super solid, at the small cost of significant weight (this is not an easily portable dock by any means). It can’t add functionality the Book hardware doesn’t support, so I’m not fussed at dated ports or whatever. This will let me put my Book 2 back into circulation as a home services Linux machine without breaking the bank, use a wired mouse without it getting weird again, and give me way more options if the keyboard base station dies on me (a constant threat).Worth it!

Love it, just curious about that one cable
It looked brand new out of the box. I'm using it with my 2024 Surface Pro (ARM version), and everything worked immediately. No setup headaches. I just plugged it in, and I had a full station ready to go.I love how convenient it is. I can dock in wherever I want and get to work without juggling a bunch of separate cables. The extra ports make things easy... USB devices, external monitor, ethernet—all just plug in and go.The only thing that made me pause was the cable that runs to the wall outlet. It feels a little flimsier than the others. Not sure if it actually matters, but it was noticeable enough to make me go “huh?” (maybe that's due to it being refurbished?)Still, overall it’s solid and I’d definitely recommend it if you want to turn your Surface into more of a desktop setup when you need it.
