Great lens for distance photography.
Bought this as a gift for my husband. Great lens for taking long distance photos. It does take some skill to focus quickly, but awesome if you have a few minutes.

Might not fit your Canon camera.
Ok, so others have made this statement about this product. The lens connection is wrong. The notches and grooves that connect to a canon body have the wrong spacing. That being said, I didn't return it. Why you might be screaming at me. Well, I was bored and noticed that if the metal grooves were just a bit smaller here and there it would fit on the camera without an issue. So, I took my rotary tool out and ground the extra aluminum away. It fits on the camera now. I mean it is 67 dollars for a 800 mm lens, I wanted it to work. I took a few pictures before I came to work. Manual focus is severe, you will have to get use to it if you are not use to manual focus. I thought it was damaged at first because I turned the focus ring a good dozen or so times and it wasn't coming into focus but you just have to keep going the focus range is long with this lens. When I finally got it to focus on something it was clear. The F stop is 8 on this lens so if you want to have more than what you are focused on in the picture, this lens is not for you. I focused on a few leaves on a tree branch and everything else around the leaves was not in focus which was expected from the F stop. I bought it for moon pictures. The photography snobs will say that this isn't the right lens for that. Well I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on something, remember this is 67 dollars and you are paying for something that is 67 dollars. So remember it is 67 dollars and it might have the wrong connector ring on the end of it.

Understanding the limitations it works great and is an excellent value.
For the money a really nice piece. Yes, it is not autofocus, not stabilized, and you have to change the manual shutter setting in the camera. The visual quality is just fine for what I bought it to do.These two pictures are from just over 30 feet away through the window over the kitchen sink.

Quick delivey
I had ordered this before but it was damaged in transit so I had to cancel. Just 2 days later this arrived and my photography has never been the same. The reason it's less expensive it that it's totally manual. That means focus and zoom. It really takes me back to my 35mm SLR days. You definitely need to use a tripod and the shutter timer or remote.
