Surveillance
It's a well researched and written book. Delhi riots explained. The aadhaar explained in detail.

Sharp, edgy and an absolute eye opener!
A brilliant expose into the history of the institution called RSS through which we get an insight into its basic tenets. How slowly and surely these thoughts penetrated the minds and lives of Indians leaving its deep footprints. The in depth research replete with interviews of affected people shows how little by little the basic foundation of a democracy is being chipped away.Brilliant writing and narrative!

The most important book about modern India in the last 10 years
If you think everything is "changa si" in India, if you agree with the government on everything because of ideology, if you support the right wing politics, you should read this book. Similarly, if you despair about the country, oppose the govt on every issue, and swing leftwards, you should read this book. Rahul turns his unsparing critical eye on the evolution of nationalistic pride, with empathy for the deprived & the dispossessed! The narrative reads like a novel, but the author delivers a punch to the gut every few pages. A must read book.

An informative look at Aadhaar
The Identity Project is largely the story of the Aadhaar card. I found it interesting and informative. But I also found Bhatia's writing hard to follow, hence four stars.Nevertheless, I'd buy his work again. I hope he writes a book that looks closely at the price that people paid for demonitisation.

A documentation of actual India today!!
The most relatable books of last 10 years...... The hate, spewed every now and then has started to make life suffocating and whatever have been taught through all the years, has started looking a farce.

Excellent journalism!
This is the sort of journalism that we need. Unpaid, unhindered by blind nationalism. Rahul is an excellent writer, and his eye for detail and strong empathy comes out for the victims of the atrocities of Hindutva factions. This book will make you angry about the state of our country, and make you understand that the blind hatred and bhakt-school of thought stems from over a century ago with the formation of the Arya Samaj. I was blind to the nature of the Arya Samaj and it's role in Hindutva politics until I read this. I've bought 4 copies so far, and will continue to keep giving friends copies.Thank you Rahul for your hard work!
